sorry, wasn't trying to pour salt on any open wounds. Saw all the KP talk in here and didn't get to the other thread before posting this.
Apparently Gambo came out & said that we offered them #4 and both Miami picks ahead of the draft that year & NY turned it down. So Woj has some of the facts but he's off a bit. I imagine that came directly from Sarver.
I don't doubt that someone in the org told Gambo that, but I am more willing to believe Woj than someone like Sarver. Woj has nothing to gain. Everyone thinks Sarver is an awful owner, and he is trying to save face.
For what it's worth, Woj never said the trade would be a swap of KP and the 4th pick like Sidery tweets. Just that the pick would have to be included and our FO didn't want to trade it.
Good point. Supposedly, for the Suns, the thing that broke off the trade was us not including JJ/#4 in the deal.
That makes more sense and is unacceptable if true. Although, we wouldn't have gotten the #1 pick and Ayton had we done that deal. Can you imagine how Suns fans would have felt if we finally got our first #1 overall pick and it conveyed to somebody else?

It may not have been #1 if Porzingis had gotten us a few wins.

I’m reading via Twitter that the latest offer from the Lakers is Ball, Kuzma, Ingram, Lance, Beas, Rondo, 2 picks for Davis, Payton, and Hill.

Wow. How are you going to do better than that if you’re NO?

None of those players are likely to be All-Stars, so they may wait for an offer from Boston and hope to get Tatum.

Is Tatum that much better than Kuzma? Especially if you can flip Ball and pick up more stuff.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

I don;t know that he is, but apparently the consensus is that he had more upside.

I think if you flip those guys in the draft and Kuzma was in Boston under Stevens, the hype would be flipped too. Tatum was a great pick, but a lot of his success is due to his situation... just another reason for us Suns fans to hang our heads.

(Inf is gonna roast me for this, but) Kuzma is 3 years older than Tatum. It makes a big difference when comparing the upsides of a 23-year old and a 20-year old.

Ingram has also taken steps forward this year, I think the LA package is just better than Bostons. Overall i think its quality over quantity regardless, you'll never get what Davis is actually worth in return.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

Supposedly NO wants Josh and a top 5 protected pick this year or Unprotected pick next year. So far the Suns are declining that offer.

Seems like a lot for Ball. Ball isn’t really a step up from Josh IMO. Sure he fills a huge need but he’s not worth the 4th pick plus another really high pick.

Why doesn’t James Jones call in his favor with the LeBrons and make it Ball for the Bucks pick? I’m being facetious that this favor actually exists 😂

I think the thing I’d miss about Jackson is he’s that other than Holmes he’s the only one playing with some damn heart through all this. I’d rather lose Warren TBH

I think Josh Jackson and the Milwaukee pick is fair.

I think Josh Jackson would benefit immensely from playing with Lonzo, then again so would TJ.

I would rather give up our 2019 pick unprotected than give up Jackson.

Not me, especially with Bridges, Warren, and Oubre on the roster. Gotta get rid of some of the clutter.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.
