Game Day: Suns (11-41) @ Spurs (29-22), Tues 1/29/19

Post by Superbone »

Time: 6:30 pm AZ (5:30 pm PT/8:30 pm ET)
Place: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX
TV: FSAZ/NBALP

The Suns are without hap. At least that's what the preview I read said:

"The San Antonio Spurs snapped a two-game home losing streak on Sunday when they defeated Washington and will look to expand on that success when they host the hapless Phoenix Suns on Tuesday."

The Suns are also most likely without Ayton. No hap, no Ayton, no Warren, no Melton playing against NBA mastermind Greg Popovich. What could possibly go wrong?

Go Suns!!!

BTW, hapless is not related to Moe Harkless. (Well, maybe a little.)

My favorite running bit from Young Justice, "Why is everyone either underwhelmed or overwhelmed and not just whelmed?" So throughout the series they will go "Stay whelmed everyone."

Anywho, what's up with Ayton's injury? Thought he'd be back by now.
Go Suns!

I think he'll be back the next game. Don't they get 3 days off after tonight? He's been practicing lately at least. It's probably still not quite 100% and honestly, he probably needed a mental break and hit a bit of a rookie wall. Ankle injuries mess up your jump shot, since most of the muscle memory for distance and balance is in your legs, feet and ankles(my anecdotal evidence).

Good effort tonight - much better ball movement than we've been seeing this year.

What a disappointing loss! Proud of the guys though. They played a great game. Everybody contributed. Big plays from Jackson with the huge pressure 3 and stolen ball to tie the score. Who was it here that said Crawford was done? Shame on you.

Apparently, Pop was pissed that Rudy Gay waived him off for a timeout before hitting the game winner at the buzzer. And he was still pissed in spite of the game winner.

Bridges had a solid game: 17 pts (7-9 from the field/3-5 from the arc) 6 rebs., 3 assts., 4 steals.

Crawford with 22 pts. (8-12/3-5) and 7 assts.

Holmes with 3 blocks.
Window is open again ... blue skies ahead?
