I'd like to say the Suns are showing signs of improvement as the season progresses, but, well, they're not.

Occasional flashes of being competitive, but usually the games are decided (or well on their way to being decided) by halftime.
Yup. I wish there was a way we could just blow up this entire thing, but we're stuck. Poor drafting and lack of direction have this team nowhere near seeing any light at the end of the tunnel.
Have the Kings really drafted better players? Or have they just developed/integrated those players better?
They've drafted better players. It's not like they've been a model of consistency either, they just have more talent and better roster construction than the Suns do.
👀 Fire Frank Vogel.

Booker with 5 turnovers in the first half. Get your shit together.

Awful half. All of our warts have been exposed: not getting back in transition, not rotating and giving up open dunks, lack of perimeter shooting, Point Booker. Just bad all around.

We're definitely out of sync with Tyler getting the start and Booker getting worked back in. The Kings are also playing well and have a lot of tough matchups for us because of their size. Bender isn't playing terribly but him playing means we're taking minutes from Oubre and Jackson. This is where we can see a minutes crunch if we get a legit PF at some point. Also with Johnson, Booker and Okobo handling the ball, Jackson becomes less effective IMO because he's not a shooter/scorer off the ball. Oubre seems fine being a #1 option on offense with the 2nd unit. I think that can be a great role for him.

Ayton looked good but was bothered a bit by WCS's length and Bagley's speed and hustle. Holmes plays his ass off everytime he's on the court.

They haven't drafted a lot of their players...Fox, Bagley, WCS. They drafted Hield but traded him, then brought him back. We drafted Bogdanovic and traded him to them, they just traded for Barnes. I think Joerger's a good coach, the pieces fit and Fox is the guy who puts it all together.

Pretty much everything about this team is screwed up - the backcourt doesn't work because we don;t have a decent point guard and when Booker runs the offense he just kills the clock way to often.

The frontcourt doesn't work because they're always trying to match up with a normal-sized front court using a center and two small forwards. And we're not talking Draymond Green and P.J. Tucker we're talking pencil thing guys like Jackson and Bridges. So they give up to much defensively and on the boards night-after-night.

There really isn't anything this team does well with any consistency. Not even consistent effort.

So we're staring at the possibility of going into the All-Star break with a 15-game losing streak.

I really really really dislike the whole Jackson drives to the rim and throws up some garbage thing he does so often. Sometimes they go in, often they are just forced shots he has no business taking. Irritates me greatly.

Booker needs an attitude adjustment. We need to not stand around and hand him the ball each time down the court. It needs to be an offensive system, not start with devin and see what happens. He needs to give a damn about more than just scoring.

Jackson is so much less effective when the ball is not in his hands as a primary handler.

I think playing with the USA team and getting the respect of some of the top players from around the league has gone to his head. He's acting like he's a superstar, but in reality he's just the best player on the NBA's worst team. Big whoop.

The problem with Booker is that he excels at one thing - scoring. His defense is terrible, he's a ball-stopper, and he's not particularly efficient (although he has improved somewhat). If you run the offense through him he'll get you assists, but her's turnover-prone as the primary ball handler, and the offense doesn't flow when he's dominating the ball.

He'd be an ideal 2nd or 3rd option, but then he'd also have to make other contributions.

The Suns THINK they’re a lot closer to having a strong core for the future than they actually are. At least publicly. In my opinion nobody on this team is untouchable.

If NY gets the first pick in the draft and they sign KD, I wouldn’t hesitate to offer a package Including Booker to grab it and draft Zion with the first pick and somebody else with our other.

Bagley's got 30 already. Ayton with 16 and 7, but getting shown up by Bagley.

Tyler Johnson is ... fine, I guess. He's not worth $20m from what I can see so far. He's okay, like a lot of the players on this team are okay. Not awful, not great. Won't make us a winner.

Our 3-point shooting is absolutely awful. It's partly that we don't have enough shooters, and partly that we don't have a real PG to set us up with open shots.

If you added Nash and D'Antoni to this team, I think we could be good. But it'd take that level of addition, a great PG and a great coach, to turn it around. And even then we'd be too young to really be great right away. As it is, we have neither the PG nor the coach, so we will probably remain awful.

I don't think even Zion fixes this mess. We need much more. We are so far away.
