We leave for a 4 game road trip on Wednesday (but a week off in between due to the All-Star break?) Hard to believe we're already 4 months into the season. We only have 2 more months. Our last regular season game is April 9th.

Last Week's Games

vs. Houston LOSS 118-110
@ Utah LOSS 116-88
vs. Golden State LOSS 117-107
@ Sacramento LOSS 117-104

This Week's Games

Wednesday, February 13th @ L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM EST

Booker wrote:“We don't deserve an All-Star break,” Booker said. “We need to work on our game as players. I know me, I'm going to be at All-Star weekend, but right after that, I've got to touch a basketball and still polish up on things. I hope that everybody has that same mindset.”

"We're shifting away from relying on the production of young players to win games. It doesn't work. It hasn't worked in the past and I doubt it will work in the future."

James Jones double downed on his past statements. We'll see what that means come draft time.

Yeah, I'll be curious what he does.

Honestly, no real issue with what he said. There’s a chance he means the draft isn’t important and they aren’t planning on drafting anyone, but I doubt that’s the case. I took it as him saying, we need to add players that help us win now and using draft picks on projects doesn’t help us achieve that.

He did mention that there are players, he said 10% of players per draft, that are ready to contribute as rookies. He clarified that he meant guys ready to play 30 minutes a game. I think there is a good chance we move the pick. If we do keep it, I’d expect us to look at more ready to play rookies(Deandre Hunter, RJ Barrett, Brandon Clarke, Grant Williams) and less on guys that probably won’t be ready to contribute as rookies(Reddish, Little, Morant, Bol, Doumbaya). Of course if we land #1, no one is dumb enough to pass on Zion.

Just got an email from the Suns that says the following:

"The time has come! It’s been 50 years in the making, but we finally made history by winning the Lottery with the Number 1 draft pick and now it is Time to Rise.

"We will be talking about the 2018-19 season for years to come. If you’ve ever thought about attending more games, and being a part of the Family; this is the year to try it out! We currently have amazing opportunities available with our SixthMan Membership."

I honestly want to know what they mean with that bolded sentence?

Sounds like you got your email about 4 months late. That was before the season and I was out betting we'd win over 29 games this season. Silly me.

Yeah, no. I'm just glad I also bet on the Knicks to win less than 28 to make my bets a wash.

Or the marketing staff is as inept as the player management side of the front office.

Maybe Sarver is peronally sending them out now as the marketing people quit when he told them they had to work for less than minimum wage.

James Jones was just on 98.7 FM again tonight and said he wants to add 4-5 rotation players in the offseason (via trades/FA/draft), but that they won't be adding any max contract players in free agency.

So that leaves around 5 rotation players from the current team--who would those 5 players be?

Oh, James. You damned fool. Rotation players aren't coming to Phoenix without being overpaid.

You know, you just walk out and find rotation players on the street corner.

It's easy!!

Was just thinking that. Booker, Ayton, Bridges are pretty safe. Add a starting pg and pf. I’d keep Jackson, Holmes, and Melton off the bench. So then add two more pieces, a backup 2 and a backup 4.

I don’t want James Jones making panic moves to make up for what he didn’t do over the course of the season but it’s inevitable now
