Game Day: Suns (11-47) @ Clippers (31-27), Wed 2/13/19

Post by Superbone »

Time: 8:30 pm AZ (7:30 pm PT/10:30 pm ET)
Place: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
TV: FSAZ/NBALP

Suns play in LA Wednesday night in their last game before the all-star break. They are hoping to break their 14 game losing streak. It's hard to believe the Suns only have 24 games remaining after the break.

Go Suns!!!

They're also trying not to match the team-record 15-game losing streak (which isn't even a year old yet).

It's been a very long and painful season

Luckily (?) this is a late game so I'm going to speed home from work and watch. I can't explain it, but I have a feeling that they win tonight.

This starts around 10:30 for me... ugh. I assume by 10:45 we will be down by double digits.

Without TJ the Suns really only have 5 winnable games left and this isn't one of them. NY, Cle x2, Atlanta, Chicago. Knicks are really trying hard for that #1 pick. I think with Tyler playing PG we won't have to worry about eclipsing Atlanta's win total and I think the Bulls still end up with more wins but NY and Cleveland are really going to get in the way of landing the #1 or #2 pick.

I guess all i root for now at this point is for Ayton to develop a killer instinct and for Booker to get his game/shooting back on track. The life of a Suns fan in February

Yeah fortunately we don't have to have the worst record anymore to get the best odds possible at #1, especially since it looks like we might not be the worst team this year despite perhaps ending up with our worst record in franchise history.

I thought that under the new lottery rules, the top 3-4 teams all have equal odds at #1, somewhere around 13-15%. Can someone please clarify?

yea this will be a win for us
we are due one of those games where we play decent stuff and the Clippers have struggled without Tobias. Harrell will be a nuisance like every other PF to go against us and Lou will do his thing but Suns win by 6+ and thus ends the streak

That is true. By "best odds possible" I meant a tie for the best chance at 14%.

I'm starting to not like Book. He's becoming a luxury we can't afford to have.
He's the finisher to games; only problem is we can't get close enough during the game with all the deficiencies.

Jesus. Johnson is providing even less than Anderson, if that's even possible. Checking the box score and he's trash. What was the point of trading for him again?
