Game Day: Bucks (48-15) @ Suns (13-51), Mon 3/4/19

One more thought: Jamal Crawford. Time to label him as having some generic "soreness" injury and play Melton (and Okobo) instead. He was a killer on both ends tonight, and not in a good way.

Wow! What a game! Coming right off of the euphoria of the Lakers game, this was too much! Most fun I've had watching the Suns in a long time. What a game to be at, Nodack! Unbelievable win. I kept waiting for them to fold but it never happened. They just kept fighting for 48 minutes. First Bucks back to back losses of the year. We swept the team with the best record in NBA basketball. Wow.

Your prejudice against him is apparent. Jackson was huge in this game and a big part of why we won. He hit some big shots when we needed them.specialsauce wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 8:12 pmJosh Jackson is at his finest tonight (in a bad way). His 3 was a luck shot in a midst of hot garbage.
I don’t get why Bender doesn’t get burn over him. Especially when we are at such a size disadvantage. We held em to 39% shooting and are LOSING.

It really feels to me like he's starting to realize what he can become. He was a monster tonight. We are only seeing the tip of the iceberg.

I can’t believe how excited I am about it. I know it’s a tough time to be a Suns fan but I think they are going to be really good at some point in the future and the wins will feel even better.

He's learning from the best at that in Giannis.

I don’t know, Lebron was acting like a fullback and getting the calls too. They figured out if they have the ball, the other player is moving, that they can plow into that other player as hard as they want and they will be the one fouled.

Who would have thought on a Monday night? Most energy in the building all year. You could hear the sizable Bucks fan base early, but the Suns fans took over at the end. Big time!

You da man! My heart sunk when that Brogdan three bounced high up and then swished down through the net. But it didn't deter the Suns. They closed out strong!

The last two games are pretty amazing considering the 17 game losing streak they just came off where it looks like maybe they'd never win again.LazarusLong wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 9:43 pmSuns put on their big boy pants tonight to sweep the Bucks.

It was. I didn't get to start watching until late but I was yelling out loud. I hope I didn't wake up the neighbors.

Thank you!Shabazz wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 12:53 amJust got finished with this one. As others have said, Ayton has been terrific on both ends for 2 straight games.
Also, if the contracts are close to equal, games like this are why Oubre is probably a better keeper than TJ. He doesn't quite have TJ's offensive upside, but TJ never impacted the game defensively like Oubre has the ability to. Also, from a culture-building perspective, I'll take Oubre's energy over TJ's somnambulist disposition.

True. Ayton got to witness it two games in a row.

I like strong plays to the basket like Aytons spin move. I Ddon’t like when offensive players just like intentionally run towards a defensive player and then plow into him for the sole purpose of getting a foul called and being rewarded.

It's so refreshing to read the board after a win like this. Thank you all for contributing, my day is much sunnier and easy to live because of you.

Can't add much to what's already been said about the game....definitely our best of the season. We're playing thru Ayton more and it's making a huge difference. Oubre was a total difference maker with his defense and energy. He's got to become more consistent and efficient offensively, but even when he's not shooting well, his energy and defense don't drop off. I still love Jackson's activity and aggression with the ball. Not always pretty but he's one guy who keeps the defense on its heels and we've been missing that for a while.
Also just want to say that despite our record and FO/ownership issues, this team hasn't dogged it or given up. They certainly haven't quit on the coach or each other and that's extremely encouraging to see. We may have issues with Igor's playcalling and the roster construction, but there's no denying the effort level has improved dramatically from the start of the season and we're looking a little sharper on offense and defense.
