I think he should have won...I get that we lost every game, but his numbers were so much better than Lillard’s....Lillard essentially hit slightly over his season averages and won..

Lillard averaged 25.3 points (37.0% FG, 30.3% 3-PT, 95.5% FT), 5.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists for the week, guiding the Trail Blazers to a 3-1 record with wins over Brooklyn, Chicago and Atlanta.

Gross...he didn’t even top his season averages and he shot 37/30....they won 3 games over garbage teams

no wins = no respect

I kind of support that approach. I realize it might go against what people think of as POTW, but like MVP, it doesn't matter how good you are if your team is losing.

By the way, who votes on that? Is it like MVP where teams and media both vote? If so, I can see why the Utah game would have a bad taste in people's mouths so they wouldn't vote for him. If he would have stayed out instead of coming back in to try for 60, he probably would have won the award that week.

Who the hell honestly cares about Player of the Week? The statistical achievements are all anyone will remember.

I don't think anyone really cares about it, but it is another way of showing that even an incredibly (historically) efficient streak like that doesn't warrant Phoenix any consideration and shows how far we have fallen off the relevancy map.

Blame the Manchurian Candidate(s) Blanks/McDonough.
