I think that pretty much aligns with what we saw on the court. The young guys looked lost and the veterans just kind of did their own thing. There were some bright spots, but if Igor was already on the verge of losing his players confidence in him then I guess they had to cut bait now.

It certainly explains the contradictions/confusion on not fouling the Celtics before the game went to overtime.

Hopefully the Lakers want Lue leaving Williams for us. I think I want Williams followed by Vanterpool.

You just can’t win ballgames with so many injuries and so much youth in this league. Too many veteran teams who know how to play. Young guys with potential won’t win. If igor was on the verge of losing his players it’s because there weren’t enough players who know how to win At this level. Motivation isn’t only about wanting to win, motivation comes from competency too. You can throw a bunch of gold in a river and it wont matter how much you want it unless you can swim.
Had Tyler Johnson and Oubre played most of the season together and didn't get injured, perhaps it would have been a more hopeful season — even without a playoff run.

Could Williams help us land Tobias?

Suns players not understanding what their coach wants them to do seems like an annual thing now.

Happens a ton when you:

1) Don't have coaching stability (players know this guy won't be here long, so they don't listen and focus on what is best for them in the moment)
2) Don't have smart players

Well that, and it isn't true. it is the darkest right in the middle between sunset and sunrise. It is the lightest at night right before dawn or right after sunset.
That means we are, at best, halfway through the night. Frightening thought.

Come to think of it, doesn’t the darkest time depend on the phase of the moon? On those days when the moon sets shortly before sun rises, it really is darkest just before the dawn.
Maybe you guys just need a better metaphor that doesn’t require so much analysis.
X WRONG X

We need more analysis.

Dawn is not the moment the sun crests the horizon. That's "sunrise". Dawn is "The first appearance of light in the sky before sunrise." Ergo, the darkest hour is just before dawn is true by definition. Once it gets lighter than the darkest hour, that's the start of dawn.
So if the moon rises 1-2 hours after sunset, that’s the start of dawn?

Greg Moore is convinced that Jones acted on his own without interference from Sarver:

I’m apt to agree with him.

What a shocking coincidence that Lebron's friend blew them away! I'm sure they will make the totally independent and unbiased decision to hire Lue as their next coach. LOL. As much of a s--t-show as we are, I would not want to be held hostage by an aging Lebron James.

I’ve talked to several Suns players (who will remain anonymous) about the coaching situation. One player said that Kokoskov is a great assistant coach but not a head coach. Another told me that many of them would leave huddles or practice confused about what Kokoskov wanted them to do on the court. There was definitely a cultural and communication barrier between him and his players and it showed in many situations.

Another player said, “Good coach, just tough situation. Smart though, will definitely be a head coach again.”
I have been saying there was a language and communication issue for several months. Mostly stemming from my inability to understand him. If you put that in a loud environment like an NBA arena then forget about it. It's even worse because Igor is fairly meek.

So this report isn't surprising to me. I also said months ago that if it were true then you had to fire him. It was so clear there was an enormous disconnect on the court. It's possible he should be relegated to lead assistant where his mind can be put to good use but the communication and leadership role can be filled by someone else. Igor should still have a long and successful career in basketball.

He was a disaster in Minny. Nobody is even hinting an interviewing him for a HC job.

He’s signed for 3 more years. I don’t see how he’s holding them hostage lol

Have you always disliked LeBron or only because you root for the warriors a bit?

He has a .589 winning percentage. I'll take that over .232 any day.

I liked him years ago but I wouldn't want him now. He just stands on the sidelines yelling out the plays the whole game.
