Quick question.

Why no announcement on the Kaminsky signing ? Nothing on Instagram etc and they announced Jevon carter already.

Also why no much talk Amongst us about what to do with Tyler’s contract? We turn that in something decent at the deadline and this team look a lot more interesting.

Much doom and gloom around. Sometimes I miss joe gilmartin

Not sure on Kaminsky, I know we signed him with the room exception, which I believe you need to use all your cap space up first. Perhaps we have a little remaining cap space and need to sign Oubre before Kaminsky can officially sign.

As for Tyler, I think it’s hard to know what the deadline market will look like this early in the off season. Once the season starts and the market starts to come into focus, we can evaluate our team needs with what’s available. We don’t have any obvious needs other than just overall talent upgrades.

Without knowing exactly how this team looks like, what possible players or trades do you think make sense for this team and an upgrade with Tyler's contract?

First name that pops into my head is Gallinari. Mostly just because I think he’d be very available. He’s also expiring though. He’s an upgrade on Saric, but health is a concern.

Keep Tyler, the team already has saric.

Nobody wants Tyler now. Nobody is going to want him at the deadline. Expiring contracts aren’t what they once were.

I think Lowe is thinking a bit too much like a Morey or a Presti here, looking at assets and balance sheets more than the actual roster composition and asking whether it makes sense.
James Jones and Suns fans are essentially going all in to win 30 games. The bar for many Suns fans is "is the roster better than last year?" That is a profoundly lowered standard. Lowe is just approaching it from general, good basketball sense.

I think a fair take on this offseason is, "Team looks better and makes much more sense than last year's, but they squandered too many assets to get it to this point and should have done better in their trades."
That's fair.

If the Suns don't retain Oubre, I wouldn't be surprised if they use Johnson's contract in an Andrew Wiggins deal, depending on how good Bridges and C. Johnson look.
