Funny thing is we almost definitely will play faster than those 2004-2005 suns and shoot more 3’s. Hard to imagine any team ever being as fast as we were compared to the rest of the league back then.
I remember running circles around Shaq and Miami back in the day. I remember a specific game where it seems to me we were up 30 points at half time if I remember right.

That’s what devastated me about all the injuries in 2006. Knowing that we would have destroyed the Heat in the Finals.

Suns are having an 11am press conference today to discuss free agency, FYI.

How refreshing would it be if Jones came in and said "I messed this draft up big time. My goal is to do better next year, but this was absolutely my bad, guys."

I would not like him to say that. We haven’t even seen our picks play on the court. What message does that send to those picks if he says that before they even play a game?

Shouldn't we wait to see these guys play before we label these bad picks? And isn't it obvious that we have no idea where these players would be picked if we didn't select them?

Personally, I thought the worst thing we could have done on draft night is simply select one of the players projected to go in our range: White, Garland, Hunter, Culver. So I'm pretty pleased we avoided that and filled a starting roster spot instead.

I didn't like the Warren deal, but I also don't know what the market was like. I've been under the impression that McD failed to make several deals because he wasn't getting the value he wanted. And I suspect he drafted certain players in part because he thought other GMs valued them.

These are the sounds that jerking knees make, I think.

I'm personally just glad we don't have McD here anymore. Remember how he used to draft a guy and sign a vet to play the same position each offseason? I'm glad we don't do that anymore.

Watching the press conference now. Oubre has pretty eyes.

Edit: And he speaks well.

Edit 2: Those Rubio highlights are dazzling. Wow!

That's what you chose to hear then. Yes, that was reiterated. But there were other things (Rubio, Jones explaining roster construction, etc.).

And even with all the injuries we were still so close. IIRC we had a decent lead in the 3rd quarter of Game 5 of the WCF.
