It sounds like we're going to trade Josh Jackson but if he stays, Monty Williams might be the best thing that's ever happened for him.
Why? Does he know how to get out of cuffs?

Magic was one of his little known talents. I think it was what put him over the top for McD.

Why trade him now? His value couldn't be lower.

Because it’s not gonna get higher and we’d have to commit to a 9 million dollar 4th year before we see him play again.

you have just doomed us all. I think this might be the biggest call for a 'hold my beer' moment for Josh.

Gambo says the Suns will go after Kyrie Irving this summer.

They can easily create additional cap space. Trade #6 for a future first, stretch Johnson, maybe dump Warren. Maybe send some salary back to Boston in a sign-and-trade.

Gambo also said he doesn’t expect them to actually land Kyrie.

Stop saying easily. It can be done but not easily unless we want less than 50 cents on the dollar for Warren and the pick.

If we’re getting Kyrie, I am saying we would be willing to give Warren away for literally nothing (let a team absorb his cap hit). Maybe get a draft pick back. Or trade Warren to Boston in a sign-and-trade for Kyrie.

I guess "going after" and "getting a meeting with a star who used to be a teammate of James Jones but won't be signing with us and is just taking a meeting out of respect for Jones" are kind of the same thing.

If Kyrie wants to commit to signing here long term, I’ll take him. Can’t imagine he wants to come here though...will most likely come to nothing.

And the easiest way to make the space would be to renounce Oubre and stretch Tyler.

Next easiest way would be a sign and trade. Send Tyler and Warren for him. Probably have to throw in a pick.

Kyrie Irving will not be playing for the Suns next season.

That's the extent of the energy I will spend thinking and typing about it.

I really hope all of this talk of us not pursuing Conley is just a smokescreen. He's a perfect on-court and off-court fit for us and I don't think there's such a strong market for him. Utah would be smart to target him as well.

Lmao. Agreed. Not. Happening.

My rational PG wishlist includes Conley at the top.
Rubio, Ball, or Rozier I could live with and think they could make the suns better.

Kemba is another fantasy.

We sign Darren Collison for 3/$30M. We trade Bumpy with a first or two for a PF upgrade. We keep our draft pick and select Cam Reddish who drops to 6. We re-sign Oubre. We trade Warren and Jackson for a quality 6th man scorer like Lou Williams but I am not sure who is available. Re-sign Holmes.

I wouldn’t do more than 2 years for Collison.
