He's gonna get paid.
I don't know. Barnes is fairly mediocre.

I think he was referring to Horford, but I could be wrong.

I agree with you though, Barnes is probably the 4th best guy on a contender.

I am curious how much he wants for a 4 year deal.
I'm willing to bet someone will give him at least 4 years/$100M.

Horford just did Boston a huge favor. So is Kyrie.
I don’t know. I’d love to get Horford here to pair with Ayton. They could be interchangeable at 4/5, he’s got range and great defensively.

Collison and Horford would be a good get if we decide to spend on the big man and go cheap on PG.

Collison
Booker
Oubre
Horford
Ayton

Horford is a nice player, but he didn't opt out of Boston to join a 19-win team.

He opted out of Boston to get paid. Which perennial winner is going to pay him? Not Houston, GS, Toronto, Mil, Phi, Den, POR.

Maybe Brooklyn? Dallas? Doubt it’s the Lakers.

I could see him as a Spur.

Brooklyn, Dallas, or Sacramento are my guesses for Horford

If BK is smart, they re-sign DLo, sign Horford and head into next season. Kyrie should be left for the Knicks or Lakers.

When do we have to match his new salary versus his old? Can we give them cap relief by trading for someone that is in his current 1.7M range like Okobo who they only have to pay this upcoming season? Or do we have to match his 10.6M number from the upcoming season? Or an average of his new contract's yearly cost?

I think we have to match the 10 million salary, but we could absorb it into our cap space.

Sounds like a reasonable deal the Suns could have matched.

They were close to a deal during the season but it leaked and one of the teams pulled out IIRC. Felt like Conley to the Jazz was going to happen regardless this offseason.

It seemed inevitable, and this is a good pickup for the Jazz. Something that they really needed. It didn't seem like a great deal for the Grizz, but I think they are tanking pretty hard next year to keep their pick.
