Predict 2019-20 Suns # of wins

Post by 3rdside »

Not much of a sports better - yet, I hope - but the over was too easy on this one.

40-44 my prediction and I reckon we could do better.

1/3 of the way through the season

11 - 16 (.407), 12 games out of 1st, 1 game out of 8th, on pace for 33 wins

I would hope the next 2/3 of the season go a lot better than the first. Hoping for Booker and Baynes to get healthy, and Ayton to recover from his ankle injury and make an impact.

If we can win 50% more games from here on out, we would finish with 44 wins and should be in the playoffs. Fingers crossed.

I voted for 35-39 wins. That was the modal answer, but many folks thought we'd win fewer games than that. I would probably vote for 40-44 now if I could change my vote. I don't know if we're a playoff team due to all the injuries and inconsistency, but I hope we can get there. Either way I just want our guys playing the right way and continuing to grow as a team. Pretty happy overall with the new players and coaching staff, and whether we squeak by into an 8th seed is a bit less of a priority for me.

I feel bad for Tyler Johnson. Let's not prolong this: trade TJ plus whatever for Iggy.

If you see rookie pg ty Jerome getting more and more minutes, it means the season is lost.

I just don't see why we should go after Iguodala. I like him a lot, but his best days are behind him. He's a good defender but can no longer keep up with the Lebrons and Kawhis of the league, and he can't shoot consistently. I don't think he is the missing piece for us.

Who do you have in mind that is a realistic get? don't tell me it's Love because the guy is a loser and his contract is terrible.

He isn't going to go to a wannabe team. He wants a buy out so he can sign with the Lakers or Clippers and compete for a ring as the 7th or 8th man on a great team.

If making excuses were a competition, we’d make the playoffs in that.

For those not keeping track, updates:

We are 4-13 in our last 17.
We are still owned by Sarver.

it's not like iggy has a choice. he goes to the team that trades for him.

and please, kevin love is a stone cold loser with an awful contract. at least with iggy, even if it doesnt work, it's only for one year.

who do you want then that's acquirable?

(as long as it's not a power forward named kevin love)

Julius Randal or Lauri Markkanen would work. There are a few others too.

We are due for some health and some wins. I can feel it in my bones. Golden State is right around the corner.

Does this go under the new training staff and how quickly they recover players from ankle sprains?

I don't think so. Some ankle sprains take 6 weeks to heal. And that was his first time playing real basketball in 2 months.
