Thanks! I knew most of the players through their legend and namesake but wasn't around to watch them play (I'm only 35 years old). Appreciate you guys helping me fill in the gaps. Now I can put faces to the names.

There is defense in the backcourt, a helluva lot of shooting and everybody can run.

All's well. Happy to educate.

One could make an argument for Charlie Scott edging out Dragic for the final PG slot.

Other notables not making the cut: the Robinsons, Truck and Cliff.
Paul Silas, as mentioned earlier.

Not an all-time great or anything, but I liked Rodney Rogers and think he would be a good fit in today's game.

Rodney was a weapon. He could bomb from the outside.
And his low center of gravity made him formidable in the paint.
He use to give Shaq trouble in the post ... RR was about as easy to move as an oak stump.

I probably would have ranked them like this -

PG - Nash/K.Johnson/Kidd/D.Johnson/Goodrich
SG - Westphal/D.Van Arsdale/Booker/C.Scott/Hornacek
SF - Marion/Davis/Majerle/E.Johnson/Ceballos
PF - Barkley/Hawkins/Nance/Chambers/Silas
C - Stoudemire/Adams/Ayton/Walk/West

Goodrich really grew as a player during his time with Phoenix.
Once he got a chance to start, he made the most of it.

This team dominates the boards and shoots lights-out from 3.

I saw this elsewhere, and picked the exact same players as Xylus. Great defense, three lights out 3 point shooters, great rebounding.

I love Gortat. I still only play outdated versions of 2K, and always pair him with Nash, Amare and Matrix. (I only have a 360, and refuse to get a game with the Bledsoe/Knight and newer rosters.)

That is completely fair, Phoenix219. I wish Sarver had also refused to get a team with Bledsoe/Knight.

By the way, considering that Gortat is not in the chart, I would say it’s on play to consider him a $0, so I will take him at center and upgrade from Raja to Hornacek:

Nash / Hornacek / Majerle / Barkley / Gortat
Shooting, Rebounding and Defense all across the lineup, with up to 4 players fully capable to be PnR threats, screen setters and 3p range bombers. I like it

How our All $0 Team would looks like?
