Time: 6:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Pepsi Center, Denver, CO
TV: FSAZ/NBALP

The Suns begin their Ayton-suspended tour in Denver against one of the top teams in the West. It has been a sobering turn of events after an exciting opening night in Phoenix. I expect Baynes to start at center.

Go Suns!!!

We're gonna win and send a message to the rest of the league.

On Saturday, the NBA would then announce that Rubio has been banned 25 games for taking Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Rubio confession that he uses it to promote hair growth wouldn't change the suspension.

Maybe we could re-sign Big Sauce in the meantime while we wait for Ayton to come back?

I won't be surprised if we play well tonight. Baynes and Kaminsky know their roles and will play within them selves. Booker will be pissed. Rubio will get a triple double. We may even see some true small ball with Saric at the 5 with Oubre & Bridges.

I guess this game will tell us a lot about the competitive drive of this team.

This might be a really rough game to use as a barometer for this team--the Nuggets were already seen as one of the top teams in the west and really dominated the Suns in preseason. Even with Ayton, I wasn't thinking there was much chance of this being a victory, and was only hoping for the score to be close. I suppose we could take a moral victory if we keep the score close, but I wouldn't think much beyond that.

Hard to expect a win here after the Ayton news. If they play smart and keep it close, I'll be happy. This is still a talented team even without our phenom center. Maybe our guards and swings can step up in Ayton's absence.

Jokic is going to go off for like 40/20, right? Who do we have to come even remotely close to slowing him down?

Baynes might actually defend him well...if he can avoid foul trouble.

Baynes is a good defensive matchup for Jokic.

Yea it's all about fouls with Baynes. I trust him defensively. I think Milsapp might give us fits if he's got it together.

Denver killed us in the preseason by anticipating our passes in to Ayton.

I BET THEY DIDN'T ANTICIPATE THIS

If there is a silver lining to all this it’s that I really think this situation will bring the team together even more than they already are. Most Pundits were shitting on their draft, most pundits were shitting on their off-season, now it seems most are ready to hammer the nails in the coffin, this team is primed to surprise everyone and I still think they will.

Suns might have to experiment playing small if it's close.

Barkley made a comment last night that our season is now over before it barely started.

Let's Go !!

Ayton messed up yes but I think it's clear to see even remembering the clip from preseason when all four guys ran over to help up (forgot who was fouled)...
That it seems like Monty has them with the whole band of brothers mindset , all that cliche stuff but I do feel there's some good unity in the team and they're determined not to be walkovers this season.
I'm not fearing any blowouts !!

Super early days but I'm gonna stick with my belief that I just think Monty will be a great leader for these young guys.
There are always ignorant ppl but I don't think we really have any on our team this year so when someone who has dealt with the things he has sits down the team to talk bout dealing with adversity on and off the court I would just assume that you gonna respect it and hear him loud n clear

Good tweets here

This feels just like when Amare was suspended for having a foot on the court during the Nash getting shoved out of bounds incident in the playoffs. It seems like someone doesn’t want the Suns to ever have any success. We always seem to get the MAX sentence in any situation. The sentence for this was 8 games for the first offense but now changed to 25 because it’s the Suns? Next Booker will be suspended for five games because his shirt was untucked during a game.
