Game Day: Jazz (2-1) @ Suns (2-1), Mon 10/28/19

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

The Jazz have had a nice start as well and similarly pounded on the Kings. Ricky Rubio is ready to go and get revenge on his former team. It's amazing that I now feel like we have a chance in any game after our surprising start.

Go Suns!!!

Kaminsky, a 7-footer signed in the offseason to add veteran depth, has 37 points and 19 rebounds off the bench in the two games Ayton has missed.

"From Day 1, coach has talked about setting the tone on the defensive end," Kaminsky said of first-year coach Monty Williams. "All three games, we've really set the tone the first half, that we're here to play defense. Nothing is going to come easy."

Williams also has stressed a "no-stick" offense, in which players should pass, dribble or shoot in five-tenths of a second. They were averaging a league-high 29.3 assists per game entering Sunday, led by veteran Ricky Rubio (10.0) and Booker (8.3).

"We're resilient," said Suns forward Kelly Oubre Jr., who has scored at least 20 points in all three games. "We're together. We're ambitious and hungry. We have to keep it that way."

Mitchell is averaging 23.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game and is shooting 58.7 percent from the field.

The Jazz won all four games against Phoenix last season by an average score of 118.3-93.5, and they have won 14 of the last 15 meetings.

We've had some good to great individual defenders over the years, but this is some next level team defense we're playing. I can't remember a Suns team playing defense this well, this hard. And it's not just 1 or 2 good defenders holding down the fort or specialty guys to cover for weaknesses. This is like prime Spurs, Heat, Celtics type of defense right now.

No way Ricky misses this game. Revenge time for him.
By the way I don't feel good about this game but we will see what's going to happen.

Why not? I don’t see this team taking anybody lightly. But I agree the Jazz are tough. It will be interesting to see how we deal with Gobert. It would be fantastic to start 3-1 but 2-2 would be better than most had hoped for.

The jazz had a lot of rough patches against the Lakers offensively. I wouldn’t put it down to great laker defense either. They added a few more offensive players this year but it felt quite similar to watching them Last year despite having Conley now also.

Comely and gobert typically do well against the suns. Hope Rubio can add some intel on how best to limit Gobert.

I heard that the Lakers defense has been pretty good so far, so maybe that makes sense. How has Conley been playing for them so far? Basketball Reference says he's averaging 10 points and 5 assists along with only 23.7 FG% (!).

He went 1-16 on opening night, so that’s skewing his numbers a bit

Rough start. Wish we could go inside to Ayton for some easy scores to get us going.

Booker struggling to get his shot. Gobert is a pain in the ass on defense.

Opening to the game was choppy because of the refs. Dario picked up 2 quick fouls so Frank's been in most of the 1st and playing well. Jazz are playing really good defense, making it tough for guys to get anything going or get to their spots. Booker's started warming up by getting the midrange game going, now all of the subs are in to close out the 1st.

Refs giving a lot of whistles in Utah's favor.
