Game Day: TWolves (10-11) @ Suns (10-12), Mon 12/9/19

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

Three very winnable games this week. We start with the Timberwolves Monday night. We beat them in Minnesota last game so they will be coming in looking for revenge. The word is though that we'll have our secret weapon Aron Baynes back for this one.

Go Suns!!!

Interesting fact: there are zero losing teams in the top 8 in the East, and 2 losing teams in the top 8 in the West.

I didn't believe you until I looked it up. Wow. Suns still technically a playoff team, but losing this game would erase that. Minnesota is on the second night of a back to back, having just played the LA Lakers the night before. Hopefully they'll be tired.

Back to backs for opponents haven't helped the Suns this year. The Magic were coming off a back to back and stomped the Suns. I think Washington also came into TSRA and beat the Suns off a back to back. I'm a little worried that Baynes will be less than 100% and the team will have to figure out how to play with him again for a game or two.

We beat Minny in a close one without Rubio and Baynes. Gotta get this one.

Totally meant to write that we beat them WITHOUT Rubio and Baynes the last time.

They've moved Teague to the bench, start Okogie and Culver in the backcourt. Can't let a guy like Covington go off for 7 3s. We've been letting guys get hot against us so the defense on the perimeter has to be there. KBD went off for 22 last time and thankfully wasn't hitting his 3s.

Okogie and Treveon Graham didn't play the last time either. I think the Suns could win this, but I'm a little nervous about the Suns looking a little hesitant on offense with incorporating Baynes back into the lineup. Plus, I imagine he is going to be very limited in minutes.

And they actually shared a birthday. Aron and Oubre are years apart.

I have more confidence in Frank hitting a 3 than a slightly contested layup.

I don't have a ton of confidence in Frank shooting 3s.

Looked like Baynes tweaked something when contesting that shot.
