Monty won't likely win COTY, but James Jones will with EOTY if the suns make the playoffs.

Carlisle will probably win COTY.

I'm not surprised Tyler Johnson is benched. He's been awful on the court, and he's likely to be the centerpiece of any deal we make for a big name player (if we make such a move: it is certainly not a guarantee).

Dude. How about somebody with a shelf life of more than 10 games?

He's lucky to still be in the league. He's hanging on by a thread at this point.

He played over 1500 minutes last year, had a good FG% (+50%) and seemed to contribute to that team. I don't think he is just hanging on.

But I agree that it would be dumb for us to go after him. I don't see him wanting to play here. And I don't think we need another person that can't spread the floor unless they are going to be a very good rebounder and interior defender.

Iggy is fine with a small role, we don’t really have a role for him though. We have wings. I guess he could take the backup pg role, but I wouldn’t give up value for him and memphis isn’t just gonna dump him for an expiring.

He's just not what we need. I hope he has a couple more years of productive basketball. Maybe he'll be like Carter and play into his 40s.

Isn't it more about bringing at least some positive productivity? Seems that Tyler isn't providing any right now, imo.

The dubs "death lineup" had two of their 5 players who can't shoot.

Can’t shoot isn’t exactly accurate. Iggy was not a good shooter, but he often hit at about 33% - 35% rom 3. He’s pretty equal to Oubre as a shooter. Draymond was passable as a shooter for a couple years, lately he’s been a bad shooter though.

Also Iggy and Dray were often the ball handlers and shot creators in that lineup. That doesn’t even mention that the three shooters in that lineup includes the best shooter of all time, another top 5 shooter all time, and another one of the best shooters in the game currently.

We don't need another 2/3. Someone's minutes on the perimeter's getting squeezed anyway when Ayton comes back. We know Frank and Baynes' minutes are going to drop. Cam is basically the backup 4 right now. Gotta find minutes.

Getting Iggy for one yr is risk free. Giving up okobo and a pick may get it done.

I don't mind cams minutes dropping.

We don’t need Iggy. We need a power forward. And Cam’s minutes don’t need to drop.
