Game Day: Knicks (10-24) @ Suns (13-21), Fri 1/3/20

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

Our favorite Morris comes to town (hint: there are none) with the Knicks looking for their first 4 game winning streak in 2 years. Hopefully, the Suns have other ideas as they start out a 5 game home stand against beatable teams. Let's hope last game's 1st quarter lethargy is gone as you can't mess around with a team like this. Put them away early and don't let off the gas.

Go Suns!!!

Honestly, we can't lose to the Knicks.

They're playing a lot better since Fizdale was fired. Miller is a blue collar coach who simplified things and has the team playing defense. Morris and Randle could be a handful for us and Robinson is a freak athlete who will jump over everyone on our team. I think Elf Payton might be out tho which will hurt them because he's been their best PG.

They need to come out with a lot better effort than they have the last two games.

We should be up by 15 at the end of the 1st if we have the type of pride we say we do.

I'm looking for a better game from Dario. He's been especially bad the last 3 games. He has to find a way to compete tonight.

At the risk of sounding like Captain Obvious, the Suns need to start beating middling teams at home.

The Knicks have a lot of bodies up front so Dario could end up guarding anyone from Morris to Randle to Portis. Can't have him in foul trouble. Portis can get hot and turn in a good offensive game. Randle, Portis, Robinson are high motor guys so if we come out flat, especially Dario and Ayton, they could feast.

I don't know how realistic that is. Knicks are playing their best basketball of the season. I'd be very happy to be up 30-22 after one.

Monty sounded like he’s making some lineup changes tonight. Perhaps more than just starting Ayton.

Not the change I was looking for. Would prefer starting Bridges at the 4. But I’ll take any change. Saric has really been bad lately. He’s not athletic or aggressive enough to be a starting 4.

I wonder what our bench lineups look like (other than not good)

Randle looks like he is gunning for his next team/contract.

Ayton is covering Randle at the 3. Oubre comes to help for God only knows what reason, leaving his man Morris wide open in the corner who drains a 3.

Ayton playing good D and matching Randles physicality. His offense will come.
