Has any heard any decent back up pg rumors at all? Saw some click bait on Schroeder but why would okc want to mess with what they have and trade with someone in the same conference

Quick question. Would anyone consider isiah Thomas from Washington for the rest of the year as our scorer off the bench? 1 year minimum deal. His ego should have declined after the last few season. I just don’t think he’d cost much but could give us A shot in the arm

Sweet, let's get on the phone and offer Mikal Bridges to OKC for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Brooklyn appears to be in a cap quandry...have a number of players locking them up...and is out a pick 2021/2. A pick, an expiring and a decent asset might be enough to break Dinwiddie loose. Our second unit dies because nobody can create for that unit...we need a good backup PG...

Nice one.
Are any other teams in such a situation?

Dinwiddie would be awesome as the third guard. I would totally do this. Okobo + expiring Tyler Johnson + lotto protected 1st rounder?

I just don't buy that Dinwiddie is on the trading block unless he has asked for a trade.
He leads the team in minutes played, points, and assists. He's super versatile. But suddenly they won't have time for him?

I also don't know if the Suns would trade for him.
He's not a great 3pt shooter. He might not want to come here for a reduced role. And James Jones has already brought in 5 point guards (+Okobo). He might want to ride it out with those guys.

Also, the salaries would be very difficult to work out.

Johnson is keeping it light in spite of the reduced playing time and struggles:

I keep saying we need to trade Johnson's salary so we don't lose the trade chip. But I also can't find too many players who I would want and might reasonably be available. I keep coming back to Jrue Holiday.

Pelicans are rolling, they’re gonna go for the playoffs, not dump players.

Should we just keep the long view in mind, stick with what we have a backup pg and focus on developing Lecque to be the future guy.

They definitely aren't making a big change tonight, but I believe he was on the table earlier in the season. That team is cursed, so I expect something else to go wrong for them. There's a good chance IMO that Holiday is on the market at the deadline.

Probably. Or from the draft.

I'm not holding out any hope of Lecque developing into a relevant piece for us. He's shooting 40/25/58 in the G-league. I'm not saying there's not upside there, but anything that guy gives us will be a bonus and should not be part of our future planning. Especially with this franchise's track record of developing young players.
