Death. Taxes. Losing to the Spurs in excruciating fashion.

Ayton’s D has been the most encouraging element of this season.

I’d be on the phone with Golden State for Alec Burks who put up 33/7/8 tonight for the Warriors. Can create his own shot. Wouldn’t have to give up much for him.The Bobster wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 9:46 pmWe all recognize that they desperately need a shooter/scorer off the bench.djy2j wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 9:42 pmThis was especially frustrating to me because there was no reason to switch up the starting lineup other than to make sure Kelly was happy. That just sends a message that Monty lets individual players come before the team.
Bridges played like s*** off the bench as did everyone else.
Are we going to play the starters all second half every game now or is James Jones going to trade for some players?
Just talking about it isn't enough though.

I didn’t either but it did. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish it.

The 30 footer was a mistake. Had plenty of time to get a better shot.

Totally had guacamole with it! It was a little old but still tasted pretty good. The Bobster wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 10:22 pmHope you had some guacamole with that.AmareIsGod wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 10:09 pmAte some frozen tequitos (well, frozen before I microwaved them), took a nice crap. Still upset that we lost that game. Dammit!
The taquitos. Not the crap.

I don't know if he's the right answer or not but Jones needs to do something here if he really wants to make the playoffs, and soon.

Deandre Ayton is now averaging 18.3 points and 12.2 rebounds per game.
Only 4 NBA players have done so in any of the last 6 seasons:
Giannis
Embiid
Towns
Cousins
...6 players in the last 13 seasons:
Love
Howard
...9 players in the last 21 seasons:
Garnett
Duncan
Shaq
...13 players in the last 31 seasons (going back to 1989):
Webber
Barkley
Olajuwon
Robinson
So if Ayton merely keeps up his current averages, he will be only the 14th player to do such in the last 31 years, and the 3rd-youngest in NBA history.
But I've heard Ayton is a bust so it must be true.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone, anywhere call Ayton a bust. People say he shouldn't have been the top pick and people want him to play with a little more aggression. Both of those things are valid.

Lots of folks have called him a bust, who was it recently said he should be traded for DJJ of all players?
But the light bulb seems to have clicked on. Imagine how he will do after he starts drawing a consistent double.

Oubre busted his ass on the court and got a concussion so he needs to lose his starting job? What kind of message does that send? Oubre hasn’t done anything to lose his starting job. I’m not sure saying a second year player has to start to play well is the right message to send either.djy2j wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 9:42 pmThis was especially frustrating to me because there was no reason to switch up the starting lineup other than to make sure Kelly was happy. Nice game by Diallo in limited minutes: 3-4 shooting, 4 rebs in 9 minutes for a +3 rating.
While Baynes rests, maybe he can play more and get his timing and confidence to a consistent level.

I love that this team doesn't fold even when they have excuses to. It's also very encouraging to see Ayton + Booker continuing to play well and improve together.

That was almost the most frustrating win ever. Unfortunately, it was a frustrating loss instead. They used a ton of energy to improbably get back in the game and even take the lead but then didn't have much left in the tank. It didn't help that the Spurs 3 point shooting was other worldly.

This is what middling to bad teams do. They get down big, make a surge and usually fall short. It's become a habit for us and sometimes we pull it out, other times we don't. I'm not really knocking the team, just making the observation. I think given what the team's been thru at this point, we're still in a relatively good spot. Last night was the 2nd time this season we got a look at our full starting lineup. And even then, we didn't have Baynes, Frank or Cam off the bench. I think we're better than our record if we can just get the roster healthy and functioning for a good stretch of games.

If we had won Pop would have probably been too pissed off to make such comments but hey

I think I heard in the post game that this was the 7th loss by 2 pts or less this year for the Suns.
