Hard to get too upset about this one with literally 4 NBA calibre players only fit .. and Irving is one of those guys like Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook that teams generally player better without them.

Ayton had 25 points on 55% shooting, 17 rebounds, 2 blocks, and led the team in assists. What more do you people want from him? This loss is not on him.

I believe he had 12 and 10 in the first quarter alone. He then took his foot off the gas pedal and disappeared for 2 quarters. Then he showed back up in the 4th after it was out of reach. Nets drove to the rim at will all night long and he imposed no will to stop them. Certainly not the sole reason for the loss but not blame free.

This one wasn’t on Ayton. It was ok the backcourt and lack of a bench.

Did you see this coming at draft time? I know we all started freaking out when the video of his "new shot" went around over that summer, but curious about before that. I never imagined it would be so bad. I had him penciled in as +38%, hopefully +40% and was worried his defense might not be there. Ugh.

It's the single most disappointing development for me as a Suns fan over the last few seasons. I didn't see it coming at all. As I've said before, whoever decided he should tweak his release that summer should be shot. It's basically the less publicized version of what happened to Fultz.

Not at all. I hated the draft day trade, but I was at least confident he would instantly be a solid catch and shoot 3-point shooter.

I should remember, but... hated because two picks for a 3-d guy is too expensive, or because we needed a PG?

Do you like him more than Donte, because that's who the Suns would have taken?

Yes. And I am aware of Gambo's reports that night that stated the Suns were locked in on DiVencenzo.
