They went from sharing the ball to doing simple screen and drives into nowhere. Teams have adjusted and we have no other guys able to step up or share the load.

This front office does make it hard to like them ...I mean throw us a freaking bone. I can’t remember the last move they made that I loved straight away. It must be disheartening for the players to see everything else going on around the league and we stand pat
I don't know, Monty was a good move.
He is a good communicator and life coach. I haven't seen any evidence of our offensive or defensive schemes getting better. Ayton still setting screens 27 feet from the basket, not working in the post, and needing Book to be god-like for us to win a game.
At this point Indy I'm comparing him to our head coaches we have previously hired. He's a name at least.
he is that. and he seems like a great guy to have around our young guys. So that is a bonus.

How else were we going to get Josh Jackson off our team?

The life of a Suns fan: being super disappointed that they did nothing but also somewhat relieved that they didn’t do something.

Hey, leave trombones out of it!

Are we the only team in the L that didn't make a move?

Nope. It was a pretty quiet trade deadline around the nba.

I think we just need to get healthy and no point dealing just to do a deal. Doubt anything was out there that was worthwhile.

I was more antsy to do something because this years draft is horrible. As is the free agent pool. We also have become a last resort for free agents regardless. I'm not sure how you get better from here without pulling off a trade or two.

Looks like Isiah Thomas will become available. Go get him JJ, we need points off the bench.

Early thoughts on free agent targets:

Jerami Grant - Think he can be a great fit at the 4
Joe Harris - One of the best shooters, he’d be nice to have
Montrezl Harrell - not sure how he’d fit with Ayton
Ingram - restricted and no chance their teams don’t match

Beasley/Bogdon - restricted, could be nice. Teams probably match though

Ibaka - Maybe? But why would he come unless we’re overpaying
Millsap - Maybe on a 1 year deal
Gallinari - maybe
Otto Porter - player option...injury issues, don’t know what he adds with Oubre/Bridges here

Van Vleet - don’t see him leaving Toronto
Jones Jr. - I like him, not sure how he fits with Bridges/Oubre
Dunn - kinda interesting actually. Can’t shoot though.
Bertans - maybe, love his shooting

Those are the bigger names, any stand out to you guys?

Derozan - pass
Drummond/Whiteside - pass

Disappointed that we didn't make any moves. But at least we didn't mortgage the future for an ill-considered playoff push this season. There are worse things you can do than to let a $20m contract expire and come off your cap. I'd rather do that than trade him for some guy with many years left on his deal who might or might not help us. And I especially don't mind that we held onto our 1st-round pick and didn't toss it away to get some marginal player on our roster for the next few months.

Sometimes, less is more. Our season is basically a wash at this point, and there didn't seem to be many steals out there at this trade deadline. So we can afford to wait until the offseason.
