Jocic clearly traveled. Oh well.

Teammates have to know Ayton has 5 fouls and help. Also, that 5th foul was such a flop by Jokic. What a soft big man.

I don't give a shit. The guy flops all the time. And he travels repeatedly in the paint. He's a very good player and rightfully an All Star. But I'll call it like I see it. Go ahead and drool over him all you want.SunsRIt wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 9:17 pmAnd he is in the all-star game.AmareIsGod wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 9:16 pmTeammates have to know Ayton has 5 fouls and help. You're not going to beat good teams when your starting backcourt plays like Rubio and Booker did tonight.

I couldn't tell if you were being serious or not. To be fair, he's won a lot of games and puts up really good numbers for a good team. He was just driving me mad late in the game getting a lot of bad calls and started to really piss me off. I wasn't really mad at you. I just hate the Nuggets, Jokic and the arrogance of Murray.SunsRIt wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 9:27 pmScrew you AIG. That was sarcasm.AmareIsGod wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 9:19 pmI don't give a shit. We can agree on that. Ayton schooled him tonight. Of you notice Jokic was leaning and putting his weight on Ayton all the time trying to tire him out.AmareIsGod wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 9:31 pmI couldn't tell if you were being serious or not. I noticed the same thing. He really uses his husky out of shape physique really well to tire out whoever guards him.SunsRIt wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 9:35 pmWe can agree on that. 28 and 19 from Ayton tonight. Great solid game. Can Johnson pitches in with 11.

I expect 50% of his remaining games this year to be like this one -- and the other 50% like the other ones we've seen recently. Next year, he'll be more consistently awesome and should be entering All-Star discussions.

I swear that female ref had money on the Nuggets.LazarusLong wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 8:07 pmSome questionable calls lead to Suns getting out of sorts and losing the lead.

Should have been 30 but one of Ayton’s better games. He held his own against Jokic.

So close to his first 30/20 game. It will happen eventually. Hopefully in a win.

One thing I think we forget a lot with Ayton, I know I do, is that he’s just in year 2. It sucks that he’s from the same draft as Doncic and Trae. They’ve both exploded onto the scene as stars and that’s put more pressure on Ayton to be consistently great right away. He’s not consistent yet and he definitely has things to work on, but he’s also doing some pretty special things.

Aytons best game as a pro. Hands down. That was the performance I was waiting to see if he had in him. He’s had better games statistically but the way he played last night showed me flash of a superstar he could be.
He played mad last night and he remained focused and engaged the entire game. He was the most dominant player on the court.
Forget the Mavs game. Show him THAT game on repeat.

Missed this game doing family stuff. Didn't expect to beat the mighty Nugs; saw some good signs in the recap and box score. Ayton had a great game, and I was also happy to see Cam back in the rotation and hitting a few 3s. Our overall shooting and 3-point percentages (.437 and .281) were pretty dreadful. And somehow Jamal Murray absolutely wrecks us every time we play the Nugs.
Was a little concerned to see huge minutes for the starters; two guys played 42 minutes, and Book had 37. Coach doesn't have as much of a bench right now and doesn't totally trust them. Wish we could get some of our guys like Baynes and Saric back.
I wanted to say a few words of appreciation about Kelly Oubre. It says a lot that I look at the box score and see that he had 20 points and 6 rebounds and was disappointed with his game. He's improved so much this year; he's probably been our second-best player if you look at the whole season. Far exceeded the expectations I had for him. He's now averaging 19.2 ppg and 6.7 rpg for the season; wow.

Ayton is a better player than Young. Young is just horrific defensively.Split T wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2020 7:04 amOne thing I think we forget a lot with Ayton, I know I do, is that he’s just in year 2.
