I would Trade Ayton, 1st rounder for boban. Did you see him in John Wick 3? Fantastic.

Give Ayton some time. He will be one of the league's best big men within a few years. He already has so much talent and potential. And he (often) puts up great numbers and exceptional shooting. He doesn't hurt us when he's out there and he brings a lot to the table. I wouldn't trade him for Mitchell Robinson, no way. Huge talent downgrade there. I was interested in trading him for KAT, but even there I'm not sure. KAT plays bad defense and is a bit of a knucklehead himself; why not just keep Ayton?

I do think we are undervaluing what Ayton brings, both offensively and defensively. I just wish he could grow up a little bit more.

Ayton’s floor is 20 and 10. In a few years he will probably be averaging 25 and 13 and we all will pulling our hair out because we know he could easily average 35 and 20 if he wanted too. With the right mindset, Ayton would be an all time top 5 center. That’s probably just not him.

I will preface this by saying his defense has been really good (probably more of a comparison to how awful he was last year), but he could average 25/12 and still not impact the games at all. When he is engaged he is a game changer, and I am not ready to sell low on him.

Are you all coming around to my thought of drafting Wiseman if they get in position?

My hope is that we never have the chance if you get my drift ;)

But seriously, if we were in that position my feeling regarding this draft is you just draft the best player possible. It’s just not a strong draft so if you can’t make a great trade just draft BPA and if it’s wiseman then you do it.

He's still not my #1, but I would look at him if some other guys were off the board.

And I'd look for a larger deal like Ayton and our potential 10-15 pick this year for Mitch and their pick in the 3-6 range if it lands there.
That is horrible Shel, and I really like Mitchell Robinson. In2 was right about him. But you can't give up Ayton straight up for him, and your certainly can't trade our lotto pick in that deal.
Trendon Watford. Please and thank you.

Ayton and Cam Johnson for Mitch Robinson and RJ Barrett.

Who says no?

Knicks. We need to add Devin Booker for them to even consider it.

But seriously, it has to be for a star, I don’t Understand how you can justify a Ayton trade otherwise. It has to be a star.

I'd love to hear the Knicks reaction when they get that call. They'd probably swallow their tongue and be unable to speak for a few minutes before regathering their composure. "Yes... we're interested." Knicks assistant then whispers to the Knicks GM: "Psst. See if they'll throw in Oubre too."
That is an unrealistic conversation, and you know it. They would ask for a 2nd round pick.
Additionally? Yeah, you got me.

I appreciate the shoutout INF. Coming from our resident Draft guru, it means a lot. I'd like to think I'm pretty decent at identifying talent, but I've had my large share of misses, to be sure.

Those Ayton trades are beyond absurd (no offense). If Ayton didn't play any defense, one could think about Robinson and their pick for Ayton (I wouldn't do it anyway), but our guy is a two-way player with inmense potential. It's ok to want Ayton to do more, nbut come on guys...

Well, yeah. But his play has been absurd the last 2 games, and this is the internet.

It's more than that. Much more than that. And it goes beyond the skill and numbers. I'm very down on Ayton right now even knowing the numbers he's put up and what his ceiling could be.
