More than anything, to take his game to the next level, Ayton needs to work on drawing fouls inside. We saw a slight uptick in that towards the end of the season, but he needs to consistently get to the line 5-7 times a game.

I care about that much more than shooting 3s.
This. He took like 2 fta per game. That needs to be a minimum of 5 and should be 7 or 8

Without any advanced warning, GCU notified Majerle of his termination via a telephone call from Jamie Boggs, the Interim Vice President of Athletics. During the call, Boggs did not give any reason for the termination and did not tell Majerle he was being terminated for Cause. When she told Majerle GCU was terminating him, Boggs said the university decided that it was moving on in another direction and that she was sorry.

I didn't read much about Majerle's firing. Was it just because GCU underperformed this past season? Or was there anything else that they found unsatisfactory about Dan?

Ayton needs to shoot a few 3's per game for spacing purposes, if he can hit them at a 35% pace. In the modern game having a stretch 4/5 is so important, and you saw how well we did at the start of the season when Baynes was keeping teams honest defending him outside the arc. Not saying he should make it his bread and butter, but that spacing is just so critical these days.

GCU's record took a dip this season but was strong under Majerle otherwise. Came out of the blue from what I understand. I guess they're entitled to fire someone, just felt like there was more to the story.

Shooting 3s is much more important for role players than for stars. I'd rather see Ayton work on drawing contact, sealing and establishing position, passing from the high post, etc. If I'm an opposing coach, I would love to see Ayton space the floor so Oubre or Rubio can drive.

Those old arenas are really cool. I love the lack of luxury boxes and how there isn't really a division among the levels of seats. It makes the place much more intimate and intimidating when it's full. That was something I was reminded of while watching The Last Dance when the Bulls were playing at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis.

I vaguely remember going to games there when I was 8-10 years old. It was so different from the modern NBA arena experience.

One the biggest disappointments in suspending the season is the interruption of a very impressive stretch of individual play from Ricky Rubio:

You think Harrison could be an adequate backup? The Suns obviously need a lot of help there, as the backups killed them in most games, especially at PG, imo.

He does more than Carter IMO. It would be nice if he could shoot, but he’s at least a lot bigger than carter and can defend multiple positions.

I don't know. Carter's shooting is pretty important to us. I like Shaq but I think Carter does more of what we need for us.

I was never a very big Shaq Harrison fan. I think we could do better as backup PGs go.

I don’t look at Shaq or Carter as backup pg’s. Carter is a better shooter, but Shaq has him everywhere else. Size especially. Every site has him listed at 6’7 190... that seems taller than I remember, I thought he was more 6’4-6’5. Still it’s much bigger than carter and makes him much better defensively. He can defend 3 positions. He’s a better athlete, better finisher, and I feel better with him handling the ball. Very small sample size, but he also shot 38% from 3 last year.

If we’re talking about a 10th man, give me Shaq
