I guess that watching ball while I work is one of the benefits of working from home.

Shh...

I just happened to be taking the day off. No guilt here.

Rumor is that Okobo got his butt in gear when he heard about Cameron Payne joining the team.

If Okobo could become the scoring guard in the PnR that we thought he was going to be, he would be a great fit, but he doesn't even look like he knows how to play the game or what's going on the floor half the time.

Yeah, I don't think he should worry about being a distributing point guard. He can't do it. He has no idea how to mix it up. He can only do one thing at a time.

Is that true?

This is coming from someone who was very happy to see us draft Okobo: too little too late.

Agreed. He has the physical tools, but he just doesn't know how to play at this level (yet). And I don't see a compelling reason to continue to give him time to figure things out.

Undersized scoring guards are a dime a dozen. I like Okobo somewhat but he's easily replaceable if he doesn't want to put in the effort to work on his game.

I find myself rooting for Payne. He had a good first game and a not so good second game.

Okobo looks like the type of player who'll go to a better run organization like the Spurs or Heat and become a solid player.

Then all the media types will come out with their stupid takes about how badly the Suns screwed it up while failing to admit they didn't even know who Okobo was 6 months prior.

This message hurt. It's so likely to be true. Okobo will become a lethal microwave guard off the bench for some well-run team and they'll ask how the Suns could have whiffed so badly on him.

I don’t think so. I think he’ll just be trash on another team. I see no potential there

If so, it will be in 5 more years when he is on his 3rd team and spent plenty of time in the g-league or over-seas to develop his game. He just isn't playing good basketball.

I see plenty of potential, but he needs to play a lot to develop it. That isn't likely to happen on an NBA roster right now.

It's fun to bash our organization but I'm with you. I mean, maybe it clicks for him in later years but it won't be because of the organization.

This. He needs a lot of experience and growth still.
