Yeah, those family intro videos were really sweet. Great job by the team to get that arranged.

Good article on Payne but confused by the last paragraph regarding his TO and testing the market. He's ours assuming we exercise the option right?
Payne is owed $196,288 for his services in the bubble, a prorated minimum deal for his late addition.

The team has a built-in $2 million option to pick up his contract for the 2020-21 season. But according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, that figure is guaranteed at $25K.

Rather than play on what is essentially a non-guaranteed deal, it seems more likely that Payne tests the open market and finds a new home whether it is in the NBA or otherwise. But teams looking for a hungry scorer are going to be able to find one in Payne.

I'm not sure what that article is talking about. If we have a team option, how is he going to go out and look for other opportunities?

It's amazing how much this bubble has shifted opinion here on like half our team.

Oubre: essential, fan favorite to replaceable
Ayton: immense potential and great growth in year one to GTFO
Carter: Fringe NBA guy to someone who may command more than a minimum deal
Payne: "why did we sign another crappy backup PG?" to "what a great move by James Jones"/"did we just solve our backup problem?"
Booker: Star to Superstar
Cam: Good potential rotation piece to long-term starter?
Dario: not a good fit for us to key bench staple at the 4/5

I am wondering if he can opt out for a guaranteed deal. Like if we can cut him after game 1 and not pay him any more, then why would he want that if there is a team willing to give him the minimum for a year or 2?

I’d guarantee that Payne deal now if we can keep him at 2 million.

If we win and one of the two teams lose I might pass out.

I just don’t want to see Doncic get 15 FTAs from bullshit calls in a classic Doncic/Harden way and destroy us.

If we win and still miss out on the play-in, then I’ll be at peace.

I truly do not enjoy watching Luka play, the same way I can’t handle Harden. I’m glad he’s not on the Suns, but that doesn’t mean I’m happy we picked who we picked. I’m extremely frustrated with The Big P.

For your mental health's benefit, assume we won't make it even if we win. Unfortunately, we don't control our destiny at this point.

I’d pick up Luka full court the whole game with Mikal and Carter. Make him work and maybe Carlisle will sit him early.

This is how I am approaching tomorrow. It’s been a great run, and I will feel really satisfied at 7-1, so everything is just bonus at this point.

“That’s where those conversations started. And they finished with, ‘I need a great staff.’
How about 66% of a great staff, Monty?

McD talking about the Bridges trade. Think he’s probably alluding to SGA here as well.
