That is about 1000X better than the Westbrook deal. They could get draft considerations out the Bulls deal. And LaVine is a stud. They could do (and have done) worse than that.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 4:37 amHouston Trades: James Harden, Eric Gordon

I know it's a terrible basketball deal for Houston, but that's kind of the point. They don't have many options. At least something like this would free up (cut?) almost $30M off the Rockets '21-'22 roster payroll.

The Westbrook deal was bad because most of the league looks at him as damaged goods, justly or not. So they had to take someone else's damaged goods back.INFORMER wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 8:23 pmThat is about 1000X better than the Westbrook deal. Zach LaVine is a stud, but is he a winning basketball player? I'm not convinced of that.

John Wall's contract is just as bad as Westbrook. The only difference is that Westbrook is an All-Star; John Wall doesn't play basketball anymore.

Re: Around the League: Offseason
Exactly. And player for player (based on potential), I see it as mostly even. But I expect Wall to never really be the player he was, and I think Westbrook will do well in Washington. I don't think it is close as to which team will improve itself more with this move.

That is hilarious.
I am in the middle of reading 7 Seconds or Less to get ready for the season, and I just read a part about Stan. Some of the guys were saying he is the master of the white board. Nobody has a more detailed plan than Stan.
