Post game comments make it sound better than it looked. Hopefully he's not out long, but I wouldn't mind him missing the game against the Suns on Jan. 4th.

Anyone still awake to see Kawhi get absolutely fucked up by Ibaka's elbow?
Uh, oh. Still have it on the DVR. Gonna watch after Soul. Doesn’t sound good.

Carslile, Spoelstra, have been capable to run championship caliber teams, as well as maximizing performance from mediocre to bad teams. This year we get to see what kind of coach is Steve Kerr, without a constellation under his command for the second year in a row.

Kawhi got clocked. Lots of blood. I hope it’s just stitches and not a broken jaw.

Oubre shot 1-10 and had 3 points in 20 minutes as the Warriors lost by 39 points. After the game Steph said something about how the team's "collective IQ" needs to get much higher.
Everyone but Wiseman was bad...Curry was 6-17, Wiggins was 6-18...they shot 34% as a team and lost by 40. This was much more than Oubre.
Sure, I agree. Oubre isn't the only problem for them. They're missing many of their top guys including Klay Thompson. But I think there's been an erosion of their culture of sharing and distributing the ball. Guys like Wiggins and Oubre are a big part of that. They don't share the ball as willingly and can be black holes on offense. I think it'll be frustrating to Curry as the season goes on. At least they are seeing some great production from Wiseman already; he looks like the real deal. I saw an article with a title like, "Wiseman is the Warriors' future. He may need to be their present, too." I think that's about right. If they want to be a playoff team, Wiseman will need to contribute right away and maybe be their #2 guy behind Steph immediately.

I don't think the Warriors are a playoff team.

They don’t look good right now, but I’m not gonna make any judgement calls yet. Draymond hasn’t played yet, outside of Wiseman, their players have individually been bad. Curry, Oubre, Wiggins will get better. It may not work, like Mori said, they lack a lot of the free flowing ball movement that they once had, and I’m not sure what Draymond has left. They are in real trouble if he can’t run some offense because that leaves Curry as their sole initiator.

But if Draymond is 80% of prime Dray, Curry can run amok off ball, Wiggins and Oubre can approximate their play from last year, and Wiseman continues to impress, they still have a good team. They’ve got a lot to figure out, but they have time, they only have to be a 10 seed to get in this year.

I'm talking about after the play in games. Gotta be top 8.

Sure, I mostly meant they have time to figure things out. They can still get in just being a 10 seed. If they’re rolling by seasons end, they could be a dangerous 10 seed in the play in tourney

James freakin' Wiseman. Well done, In2.

I'm so glad he landed in GS. He'll have the best shot at developing there. So far, so good.
I'm not happy that GSW got him if he becomes really good, but thanks. I hope all players not on Phx or potentially play for my Suns suck, haha. A true homer.
I like for things to go right for opponents and for my team just to be better.

Toronto would be one of the teams that I would think would pursue Ayton.

You gotta get more than Boucher though...

Minnesota goes to 2-0.

Year 2 Jarrett Culver looks to be closer to the player he showed at Texas Tech.

Ya, didn’t mean it seriously...I’d look at trading Ayton, but not sure what you get from Toronto. You’re not getting FVV or Siakam... I do like Boucher. OG is nice too

Cupboard is pretty bare for the Raptors.

Boucher should have been added as a free agent.
