Just to tease Indy

Seems like Point Book was instrumental in that run for those last few minutes of the half :)

Our early defensive rating ranking sure seems legit. Really like how the guys are rotating
:P

Devin Booker: 7 TOs
Rest of team: 9 TOs

Book sealed the game tonight, but it would have been a blowout if he didn't keep throwing the ball away. None of those were due to spacing.

He wanted to put himself in position to be the hero. ;)

I’m predicting 8 & 7 for DA, a close Suns W
Ugh... 4 & 9

You set the bar on the ground and he still went under
Ugh. Missed the game for the most part tonight will watch in the morning but I’m pleased by the outcome, disgusted with our spineless big man. Will take the W in Utah. Great start to the year

Monty having his mask upside down bothered me the whole night.

Ayton needs to watch this 1000 times - he was invisible on offense today. If there would have been one word of advice before the game it would have been no fouls early, 2 fouls in 2 minutes into the game later ..

Suns defense was stellar tonight. Everyone was focused. Really starting to make a name for themselves defensively.

Ayton is still the week link. 2-8 but Twitter is lauding his good game

Great team win. 4-1 feels good.
Just to win in Utah is big. The Jazz announcers complained about the missing fans.
Really levels the playing field w/o a bunch of racist homophobes in the stands

Ayton seems broken on offense. And out of shape.

Excellent:
- Defence
- Wings; Bridges, Crowder, Johnson shot well and defended a bunch
- Booker icing the game at the end with a 2 and a 3
- Jevon Carter; hit 4-5 including 1-1 from 3

Good:
- CP3 being CP3
- Saric; doesn't show up in the box score, and only 1-7 from the field, but can play
- Cam Payne; I love this guy - not a star but makes tough lay ups every game and hits shots

Bad:
- Booker 7:6 ast turnovers

Awful:
- Ayton's non existent offence. He's got to be out of shape - this on top of last season's suspension and the bubble's missed test .. early days I guess but he's looking like the odd man out on this team.

I spent some time checking out his butt and legs (jfc lol) and all looks in proportion. Double checked his vertical leap is actually 43" which it is, so he's got to be gassed and re-watched his career 33 point game with 24 in a quarter (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiHkCOf3gwI) - he looks so much more agile and energetic.

Similar to the game winning bucket over the Clippers in the bubble but from 3 point range and without 2 guys draped all over him.

It’s nice we have different people stepping up from the bench each game.
Aytons offense continues to be meh. But at least he continues to be solid on D. Gave up some early fouls but at least Gobert didn’t up at the line 15 times.

Not going to complain too much as it’s always good to beat the jazz and their annoying ass commentators.

Also I didn’t mind the booker turnovers at the end a it gave Utah a false glimmer of hope before he shut the door.

What happens when Paul starts hitting shots (assuming he does?) We could be real good, y'all.

Why is it always the opposing team's commentators on the NBATv broadcast? Not as bad as Boston homers but pretty bad.

The Boston guys at least had some comic value as it was like listening to your drunken uncles commentate.

The Utah ones are just awful

Glad we beat the Utards and to do it with our top 3 players still only half effective bodes well.
Definitely a 9/10 deep team now and that is great to see and this more than most things will see us progress this year.

Book and Paul will figure it out and become even more effective as we go forward.
I really want Ayton to figure it out, but the more I see the more I see regress and softness that I just don’t think you can teach out of someone.
I’ll give him another 15 games because coach said we need to be judged after 20 games so I’ll judge the teams and players after that time, but at the moment it’s his D giving him playing time and nothing else. Fingers crossed, with little hope.
What we do in life, echoes in eternity.
