Game Day: Raptors (1-5) @ Suns (5-2), Wed 1/6/21

by Superbone
Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Phoenix Suns Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

Starting a little early to give us something to talk about. The Raptors are off to a woeful start but we can't let our guard down. Come out with energy and stomp them early. Put them away by the 3rd quarter.

Go Suns!!!

Dis • cuss

You got me excited thinking the game was tonight.

Raps are desperate which means they're dangerous. Should be some fun matchups with CP and Lowry, our swings against Siakam and DA vs Baynes.

Battle of the backup centers who don't jump! That's not a fascinating story line? How about Len averaging 9/7 in revenge games vs PHX? No?

You remember... Alex Len. Number 5 pick. Big white guy. A few years ago. Played for Atlanta for a bit.

Not liking the odds on this. Raps are absolutely desperate for a win, a loss here for them will be devastating.

It will be close but the Raps will pull this one out but Suns will be alright in the grand scheme of things.

Starting the thread a day early - isn't that bad juju on this site? Are we just so confident now that traditions don't matter?

Not as far as I know. First time I’ve heard that one.

I am good with starting a thread for each game any time after the previous game has ended. We make our own traditions. Like Congress we can amend the Constitution.

I forgot all about Raptors being in Tampa Bay
Read a story along the lines of they having to deal with lots more adjustments right now than other teams but still no excuse for their poor start
I don't know how big a deal their displacement is but they are for sure struggling and I will like us to keep it that way or shall I say expect us to

I think it's a perfect storm of their roster slowly declining and part of the adjustment of playing in Tampa. This isn't the Raps team from 2-3 years ago and it's catching up to them. Still dangerous, but not nearly as effective or cohesive.
