I like when we play the Wolves because then I get an up close look at future Phoenix Sun Karl Anthony Towns.

So: weak opponent, on a losing streak, that played and was beaten badly last night and is thus less rested despite being at home, missing two of its three best players to injury and suspension, but still featuring one key player with a grudge against the Suns organization and another who'll presumably be somewhat friskier than usual playing against a longtime friend. Add to that, the Suns are coming off a(nother) win where they played poorly for most of three quarters and turned it around in the last few minutes, oh, and there's also that Lakers game coming up in a few days to distract them from the opponent that's right in front of them.

Any elements of a trap game that might be missing here? I think they're all pretty well covered.

I’m not worried. Timberwolves are awful and missing key players. They’ve lost 7 in a row and 11 of 12. I hope we come out strong and put them away quickly and keep them away...but honestly this is a game we can play like crap for 3 quarters and just turn it on for the 4th and put them away. That’s a terrible habit to get into, so I really hope we don’t see that, but we won’t lose this game.

I hope the Timberpuppies have a 10 point lead at half time more than I hope the Suns to have a 10 point lead at half time. Then maybe they will be motivated coming out of the half.

You just doomed us, Split. Nah, I'm kidding. I agree. It will be a good chance to see what the Suns have learned about putting away bad teams. I hope we don't play with our food. Just chew them up and spit them out.

No no. That's stinkin' thinkin'. That's the old ways. We want to practice new ways of winning games.

My predictions:

1. Booker scores 15+ in the 1st
2. Suns up 18+ at the half
3. Jalen Smith plays most the 4th Q
4. Suns win by 20+

Do kinda feel bad for the TWolves fans

How long do you think it takes KAT to ask out?

Book has endured a lot of years of a horribly run franchise without ever asking out. He and KAT may be two of a kind.

KAT would be amazing right now in a Phoenix jersey. I don't know how it realistically gets pulled off though with KAT being on a max contract and Ayton is just on his rookie contract, presuming he's the main piece going back.

I’m not 100% sure, but I think an offseason trade of Ayton/Crowder/Smith would have enough salary. Not sure we’d have the pick capital to get him and keep both Bridges and Cam though. Perhaps a third team that would want Crowder could send an asset to Minny that they would value more.

Sorry for the site outage ... some kind of server issue. I'm half-watching this one as I give loud children baths and feed them nuggies. I love Dario Saric. That is all.

Can’t make any shots right now...playing incredibly sloppy. For some reason we force fed Frank early in this one.

Someday DA will learn he’s the biggest guy out there when he grabs the ball in the paint.

We should be up a lot more but have missed a lot of easy, inside shots and the 3s haven't really been falling. Luckily the Wolves aren't an offensive dynamo so they're keeping it close but if we can get some shots to start falling our defense is good enough to keep them missing. Payne seems out of the rotation in favor of Moore but I haven't been that impressed with him either. Dario's been steady as always and we looked smooth again with Frank in the starting lineup. Just gotta get some shots falling.
