Welp, hopefully they come out strong on Monday. I feel like Memphis always plays us tough...though we demolished them last time when they were banged up.

Crowder - 1/8, 2 pts
Kaminsky - 0/1, 2 pts
Booker - 6 turnovers
Paul - 2/10, 8 pts
Indiana - 53/46/80 shooting

Lots of reasons they lost this one.

Can’t play from behind every night. Pacers with six in a row in Phoenix.

Are Ayton’s days closing games over with? This is 3 straight for Saric, right?

Didn’t know the Pacers are so bad in the 4th quarter. Should be an interesting 2nd half.
Not tonight.

Pacers playing well. Suns a step slow...
Should have been the other way around. Pacers played the night before. If the Suns didn’t wait to play with that defensive intensity until the 4th, they could have won this one. Getting too used to thinking they can just turn it on when they need it.

Just got nothing from Crowder, Nader, or Kaminsky. Combined with a bad Booker game and a meh CP3 game and you get this. Ayton played well, but that’s about it.

Would love to at least see us make it close in the 4th. Don’t think we really have a shot to win, but would love to see this team fight here.
At least we got that.

They were definitely not bad in the 4th. The Suns turned up the defensive intensity and the Pacers did what they needed to win and hit timely shots.

I was at the game tonight. Suns sucked ass. God Ayton is so bad. Chris Paul and Jae Crowder might as well have stayed home. So tired of Jae jacking up shots. The day he’s off the team is a good day.

Ayton played well? No. There’s a reason he didn’t play the fourth. He played all ass.

Sorry this was the game you got to go to. But come on, one bad game doesn’t make it a good idea to ditch Crowder. He’s been a net positive for the Suns this year.

Ayton jogged back on D so many times tonight. So fucking lazy. Combine that with the puss attitude and the stone hands and he just is not a player. $20M my ass

Thanks man. First time out in public in over a year.
He’s a pure chucker. He takes so many bad shots and will shoot us out of a game. Really need Cam J back. Took so many off balance shots tonight

Maybe it's just me, but in my mind beyond just the pure production that DA misses out on by not being aggressive/bobbling the ball/etc. is the actual net impact to the psyche and demeanor of the team. I know how frustrated a lot of us get seeing this, and we are just observers of the team. These guys are supposed to be the best of the best, and this guy can't catch a damn ball. I think we have all seen the visible frustration of his teammates and again these guys are pros and are really good at not showing up their own teammates. To top it off, he has numerous opportunities in each game to energize his team, the limited number of fans - not to mention demoralize the other team. He doesn't do it, and he gives us all the basketball equivalent of blue balls every freaking game. At first it was fun watching him develop but now it just makes me annoyed. Dude if you can't catch a ball now when will you be able to? I almost hate for him to be in the lineup these days - it's not fun to watch.. short of very small portions of engagement that we do get.

The frustration was palpable in the crowd. It’s to the point where I am hoping they don’t pass him the ball unless it’s an easy lob. Dude can’t catch a single pass cleanly and is outmanned every single night.

Be a pussy. Be stone handed. Be lazy. But you can’t be all 3. This kid is never going to be anything more than what he is now.

He only ever jogs back on D. I don’t ever see him run back. He finds the slowest guy on offense and picks him up in transition. But that wasn’t something new tonight..maybe just more noticeable in person. He was aggressive at times(mostly on the offensive glass), although he of course had that really weak attempt against Turner. All in all, a better game than he’s been having lately. Which probably just says more about how he’s been playing in the other games. Dario is just a better basketball player and fits the system better, that’s why he’s closing games. It feels like the new normal.

Crowder for sure had a bad night but the piece we were missing was Cam Johnson. Against teams like this we need his defense and he gives someone for Crowder to pass the ball to.

Indiana could cause real problems in the East if healthy. If Lavert gets back to his Brooklyn in the bubble play and Warren gets back healthy, how do you defend them?

and we could have drafted Sabonis ............ I wanted him then and more now........another whiff by management.
I wanted Monty as our coach since D'Antoni left town. Nice choice James Jones.
