Game Day: Hawks (23-23) @ Suns (31-14), Tues 3/30/21

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET)
Place: Phoenix Suns Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

The Hawks swoop into town with newly acquired sharp shooter Lou Williams. The Suns hope to clip Trae Young's wings in this one. This won't be a walk in the aviary as the Hawks have a lot of talon, er talent. Hopefully our defense gets into them and ruffles some feathers.

Go Suns!!!

Our very own Flagrant Fowl will be watching this one closely from his perch.

Hawks are playing a lot better under McMillan, they've probably underachieved so far this year but have players in Trae, Bogi, Collins, Capela, Gallo and now LouWill (if he plays). This should be a fun game to watch unless we lose. Then it'll suck.

It sure seems like Atlanta should be better than their record. I know injuries have been a factor. Sooooooooo glad we didn't try to sign Gallo this offseason.

What happened to Cam Reddish? Is he not progressing? I just looked him up and he's averaging only 11 ppg in 26 games played.

I had assumed that Clint Capela was languishing there and not doing much. He is averaging around 14 points and 14 rebounds, though, with 58.6% shooting. Not too bad.

The Hawks been playing much better, had one 8 straight after McMillan took over but have actually lost 3 of their last 4 (LAC, SAC, DEN)
John Collins been playing his best ball of the season and I remember him going off against us I think last year in Atlanta. Yes Capela also been very steady so we need to be solid on the defensive glass.

The talent is definitely there but like I said they've lost to West teams in the last week which means we can't afford to drop a game to them the way the standings are going

Ya they won 8 straight against a cupcake schedule... they’re not to be taken lightly, but we should win.

This game makes me nervous, but I think we’re much better equipped to handle Trae than last season.

Capela is super active and Ayton will have his hands full trying to contain him while helping on Collins.

We don't know that. Could have been in contact with somebody who got it.

Collins will give us fits.

Reddish is one of those guys who needs his shots to fall. Towards the end of last season his shots started falling, but apparently it abandoned him this year. On top of that he's had some injury issues. Hunter had taken the leap though... until he got hurt.

Collins is going to show us tonight why we should pursue him in the off-season

Hawks playing that matador defense early. Nate won't let that fly much longer.

Jae off to a good start after going down with an ankle injury on a fouled 3pt attempt. He's knocked down two more 3s. DA's been great on the offensive glass and has 2 nice takes to the basket. Also nice to see Bridges posting Trae for a turnaround jumper in the lane.

Saric is playing so bad he’s now scoring for the opposing team.

Btw is that the first time in NBA history that a team scored 6 points on their opening possession?

I just wanna say it is ridiculous that we let Trae rest by marking Mikal
Do we run the offense through Mikal ?? No but if it is one thing he has shown this season is the ability to hit the turnaround jumpers in the lane

He forced a double and then easily hit over Trae. There's no reason to not use that more especially if Trae gets going offensively
