Huge plays by Crowder down the stretch.
I'm constantly having to remind myself that this is the beginning of the season, but it's driving me nuts how they seem to sleepwalk for long stretches.

Wow what a comeback but why no timeout to draw up a play when you have 2 left? Horrible shot by Book

Not a great look for a potential game winning shot.

Yeah, way too predictable. They have to get something going to the rim in that situaiton.

They didn't deserve to win this one. Maybe it's make them address some issues.
- Paul's got to play better
- Crowder's got to get on track or they need to try somebody else at PF
- Johnson's got to grow a pair if he ever wants starter's minutes

The Kings are a competent team, but this is a bad loss. Plenty of time to rest and prepare and they just gave it away in the third quarter.
It feels like they need to erase last season from their memory because the fight and intensity just isn't there for the whole game.

I realize teams are going to bring their best effort against the Suns most nights but when they play above their actual abilities how am I supposed to feel? Alex Len hitting 2 threes, Halliburton’s off balance 3 in the corner, Barnes fadeaway 3 at the buzzer? Cmon man. Just dumb luck.

Nah, I don't think so. That third quarter was a complete joke. Terrible defensive rotations and the Kings had several possessions with offensive rebounds.djy2j wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 9:24 pmI realize teams are going to bring their best effort against the Suns most nights but when they play above their actual abilities how am I supposed to feel? The Suns last 3 minutes just made me angrier because it's like they finally decided to play to win. They can't expect to get into a groove with this type of half-assed performance. It's the same crap we saw in the opener against Denver.

Caught the last quarter
Strange one from CP3
Eerily similar to last year when we were all left wondering if he was carrying an injury
The run basically came using Point Book. Would have to watch over but not really sure that CP3 contributed after checking back in with about 2mins left. Really seemed out of sorts and now seeing the box score I don't know what happened there
Anyways I would have just let Book bring up the ball and even if he started off the ball I didn't like CP3 running the clock to get him the ball with 6secs or whatever to work with
Book capable of getting a better shot in that time but still would have just let him have the ball out top, survey and decide how to attack
Can't really comment on anything else til I watch over the game but like I said on page 1, Barnes seems to be playing some of his best ball smh

Totally agree. I'm fine with Paul initiating that play, but they have to get Booker the ball with more than 3 seconds left.bajanguy008 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 9:28 pmAnyways I would have just let Book bring up the ball and even if he started off the ball I didn't like CP3 running the clock to get him the ball with 6secs or whatever to work with

Heard a stat earlier in the day that the Suns were dead last in 3pt. defense/percentage allowed.

Ayton with 21 points and 21 rebounds. That's impressive.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Yeah, about that…djy2j wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 8:12 pmTurned on mid way through the 2nd. Like what I saw from Book and Elfrid. DA was engaged in the glass but was asleep on most plays. Lacked aggression on most others. Probably same report on him from 3 years ago.
Suns need to come out and handle business right away in the 3rd

Yea just peeping back at it
Don't get y we didn't use Point Book pick n roll again. It's our bread n butter play and it was working late. Screen by DA, Book gonna get the guy on his hip force Richaun to choose between stepping up giving the lob to DA. Jae n Mikal in the corners if D rotates.....
I mean the worst happens there is Book sometimes over dribbles trying to keep the guy on his hip. I'm sure we all know that the Book late game Isos definitely been a low percentage play and Monty has gone through enough of these scenarios by now that we should have more motion than the stand n watch thing
I get it
That's the League, That's the Brand for years now. The Superstars/Stars of the league go Iso to hit game winners but most of the time I not a fan of that stagnant stuff
Oh well

Why did we stop going to Ayton in the 2nd half? He had a great first half but then we forgot about him or something.
Re: Game Day: Kings (1-2) @ Suns (1-2), Wed 10/27/21
I feel like part of it is that he doesn’t demand the ball or make himself available consistently

I am really not liking the Mcgee fit so far. Just a rollercoaster and not our type of player. He isn’t the reason we lost, just a random thought. Game gets real ugly with him.
