The last Suns team to win 11 straight had Steve Nash, Shawn Marion, Raja Bell, Leandro Barbosa, Boris Diaw, James Jones and Kurt Thomas.
Did you intentionally not mention Pat Burke ? :o
Legend :D
Had to add Amar'e!

I'm always on Monty that he could take our starters out before the 1min mark when we're cruising to victory

Bench guys trying to make him stick to that practice smh
Kidd pulled their starters first and I think Monty was doing the sporting thing by emptying the Suns bench.

The difference was the Mavs bench was ready to play hard and the Suns looked like they’d never seen a basketball.

The Suns haven't won 11 in a row since their franchise record 17 game winning streak in 2006-07.

I got home from a gig just to watch the end of the 4th. Impressive how well we play ate the end of games. Remember the year we lost a lot of games by a shot , like the Blake Griffin bounce?

Just a miserable third quarter, especially from Booker.

The Mavs look like they want to win this game more than the Suns.
He's been trash all night
Sometimes I wonder if I hold him to too high a standard. I had to smh like why am I getting so upset over a regular season game.....
The last 5 minutes in this 4th quarter is why I never lose faith in him.

Jalen Brunson is the biggest bargain in the league.
I remember we could have had him in the draft. Instead, we took another PG who’s out of the league.

The Suns don’t make the schedule. They took care of business like they should.

Glad to see the guys joking about the shot attempts but like I've highlighted since last season

It's all about usage rate and it's good to see that Mikal put in the dribble work over the summer and now are getting more set plays run for him.
It is interesting to hear him literally say If he was the one coming off the PnR every time and that they take all the shots
Smh lol

Any other locker room there might be cause for concern with those comments but we continue to have a good group of guys and no drama

11 in a row? Another kind of weird game with Mikal going off in the 1st half and then everyone else chipping in along the way until the 4th when CP took over. Book didn't seem to have it until late. The 3rd qtr was a slog and the Mavs did what they could to build a lead but we locked in again in the 4th and did it largely with Book on the bench. I think the lineup that got us back was CP, Shamet, Bridges, Cam and JaVale? Payne also had some good minutes and has a great connection going with JaVale. JaVale was a little rough to start but he's just a gamechanger and kind of a matchup nightmare. He's perfect for us off the bench. Shamet I was surprised with only 4pts because it felt like he had more. He's been playing really well regardless of his point total. Our bench in general seems to be starting to gel, but Monty's also done a good job of mixing and matching lineups during games to keep guys in a flow.

We went small to match up with the Mavs in the 4th going CP, Shamet, Bridges, Cam, Jae for a few possessions while they threw DFS at center. Worked out well enough and while it'd be nice to have a bigger forward like Craig or Thad Young for the 5, I don't think it's that much of a pressing need. We probably could've stayed big with DA or JaVale just the same.

The Mavs just didn't have the talent to hold up in the 4th. Without Luka they're the 2018 Knicks.

If we stay healthy and keep playing like we've been playing, there's no way we only end up with 55 wins.

Bridges 7-7
Paul 7-14
Booker 7-20

That's not good.

When Bridges is shooting like that, they have to find him more or run more plays for him, not just say, "You should've taken more shots."

Suns leaders in points per game so far this season:

Code: Select all

1	Devin Booker 22.7
2	Deandre Ayton 14.9
3	Chris Paul 14.4
4	Mikal Bridges 14.1
5	Frank Kaminsky 10.6
6	JaVale McGee 10.1
Who would have guessed that our 3 centers would all be in the top 6 in scoring?

I like the numbers. Devon is obviously our top offensive threat and everyone else is scoring about equally.

Great win, good contributions from across the team, happy that we were able to lock down in the 4th. Not sure how we had such a big rebounding edge because for a while it felt like Dallas was getting all the offensive rebounds. Payne and McGee seem to have some good chemistry. That two man game between Mikal and Cam J resulting in a wide open dunk was also very nice.
