Curry takes over 13 3PA every game. Even Ish Wairight could get 1 every game at that volume.bajanguy008 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 12:41 pmDort ?!?!?

Next closest this year is Buddy at 10. Most 3P makes leaders in the league are in the 7-8/game range.

I read the full article, I would say that retired nba players are not the best source of reliable info. Some are incredible, like JJ Reddick and some are like Shaq.
Also, Jokic was tied with Embiid and that pic conveniently leaves him out.
All I needed to know was over 70% thought they’d be better in todays game than when they played. I’d be surprised if 10% of retired nba players were better today than when they played.

NBA starting talks on COVID protocols again. Another bubble on the way?
Re: Around the League: Week 9 (12/12 - 12/18)
Covington hasn’t been good this year, but I’d send out Saric/Smith for a flyer on him. Not sure what entices Portland to make the deal.

I've been out on Covington for a while now. He's basically Forward Elfrid Payton in my eyes.

Both of those guys could be rotation players in a good team, but they are exactly the kind of players that end up getting too large contracts and end up being a burden you want to get rid of.

I turned on this game with 4.5 seconds left. Easily the best choice I'll make all day.

The end of the Mavs/Lakers game was good/frustrating to watch, as their end of the game execution is horrible in comparison to CP3...and the Lakers pulled it out of their backsides.

I mean I don't love him, but I think he really fills a nice need for us.

Player I low-key like to fill that same role that no one is talking about: Dorian Finney-Smith.

If I'm ranking Covington, Crowder, and Cam Johnson, RoCo is third.Shabazz wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 9:57 pmStrong disagree.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 5:34 pmI've been out on Covington for a while now. He's basically Forward Elfrid Payton in my eyes.

I agree. I think we have 2 needs as a team.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 10:26 pmIf I'm ranking Covington, Crowder, and Cam Johnson, RoCo is third.Shabazz wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 9:57 pmStrong disagree.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 5:34 pmI've been out on Covington for a while now. A 4/5 hybrid who can play either next to Ayton or as a 5 in small lineups and do a serviceable job against the bigger wings in the league.
1 more player capable of creating offense in the halfcourt.
RoCo fits the first. I'd trust him as a small-ball 5 more than Crowder or Cam, even though they're better players.
Re: Around the League: Week 9 (12/12 - 12/18)
Dan Favale mentioned him in talking about trade targets. Also mentioned Maxi Kleber. Problem is I just don’t see Dallas moving them. What would be the incentive for them? I think both would be good additions.
Re: Around the League: Week 9 (12/12 - 12/18)
DFS is expiring, so if Dallas’ management concludes their season is lost, they could try and get something for him.
I could also see another scenario where they need his salary for a larger trade and we step in as a 3rd team like we did with Craig.

We're also 8-2 in our last ten
The Grizzlies n Jazz are actually 9-1. I knew the Grizz post Ja injury have been doing well (not this well tho) and I honestly haven't peeped Jazz highlights in forever smh lol
Either way, interesting

Re: Around the League: Week 9 (12/12 - 12/18)
I think Brooklyn is making a big mistake this season. They are an impressive 20-8, but they're achieving that by burning out their best players, especially Kevin Durant. The other day they played him 48 minutes (!) against Detroit. Yes, he had 51 points and they pulled out an impressive win, but I think I'd rather play him 35 and take an L than burn him out in December. The guy is not so far removed from a horrific Achilles injury that had him on the shelf for 2 years! And he has like 4 pounds of muscle mass on his entire body. I would be scared to death of injury risk for him. But they roll the ball out and play him 48 minutes. Ridiculous.
Re: Around the League: Week 9 (12/12 - 12/18)
The Bucks and Heat seem much more impressive to me in the East. Both teams haven't had important players (Bucks have had important guys miss a ton of games, and the Heat are without Bam) and they're still posting an impressive record. Milwaukee is going to be scary when they get everybody back.
Out West I think the team I'm most scared of other than Golden State is the Clippers. They have shown themselves to be really deep, good at defense and 3-point shooting, and tough as nails, even without Kawhi and sometimes without Paul George. They are going to be scary if they get both of those guys back for the playoffs. I'm not scared of the Lakers, Nuggets, Mavs, or Memphis. Jazz would be a strong opponent but I think we would beat them, too. Ideally we would get up to #1 seed and then Golden State and Utah would fight it out in a Western Semis slugfest before we took on the winner.
