Ayton has been great tonight, but I think the one thing he does that I’d like to get rid of is when he tries to guide the ball in or catch and shoot while he’s in the air. If you can’t dunk it, just catch it, keep it high and go back up. Especially when you’ve got a size mismatch.

Totally agree. But also when he does that he needs to keep the ball up high, and maybe work on those vice grips holding the ball.

All five Suns starters are in double figures. Hornets are shooting 27% from the field as a team. Ouch.

Ayton is gassed, can we get him a breather?

Every Suns starter has between 14 and 16 points right now.

Holy shit. 110 points, up by 30 with over 10 minutes to play in the game?! I think we might be good guys.

Payton not exactly recording a portfolio game.
O pts, 1 assist, 4 turnovers, 3 fouls.

Phoenix centers combine for 34 points, so far.
Plumlee is the Hornets only real pivot player.
He works hard, but a step slow ...

Was just coming to post exactly this. He needs to figure out something that gets him minutes. He works hard on defense but isn't an lock down guy like Tony Allen or Alex Caruso; he can handle the ball some but can't disrupt the defense like Ish Smith or shoot the lights out like Eddie House... and he isn't even particularly athletic to attack the basket and put the defense on their heels like post surgery Rose... I like him as a person, but at this point I almost prefer to let Shamet be the 3rd string point guard and use Payton's spot for Danuel House Jr.
