Good to see Mikal getting some publicity for his defense.

I find it interesting that Alex Caruso isn't anywhere on there yet I've heard at least a few media types put him in the All-Defensive team conversation. I don't necessarily disagree with them, Caruso has been good, but he doesn't appear to be elite in that D-LEBRON/matchup difficulty metric.

I went with a full Suns lineup in the West; Paul, Booker, Bridges, Ayton, McGee.

The East was a little more inspirational. I went with the Ball bros in the backcourt because NEVA LOST. In the front court it was Cheick Diallo because he's wearing a Suns jersey in the photo, Evan Mobley because I just like him, and Robin Lopez because I think he should be a permeant All-Star just for the shenanigans.

I’ll answer myself as I quickly looked him up:

6’5 213 SG who played 4 years at FSU. Went undrafted in 2021 and signed with the Knicks. Was cut in training camp and played on their g league team. Shot 42% from 3 his senior year in college on 4+ attempts a game.

I can’t actually find any G-league stats, so I’m not sure he even played this year in the g-league.

I imagine it's just to have an extra body for practice, but you never know these days.

I was ready to go looking through his old tweets because he was saying this since last year but he shared his thoughts again last night. Basically that he could see how they might have viewed Stix as a bigger, more athletic 4 to be a different option to Jae n Cam. However, clearly he's more natural as a backup 5 and he hopes that Monty stops trying to play him at the 4

Like with most things he might be on to something here. Even in the minutes this month, there were a couple games when he was on with JaVale and it would seem like he's just out there not really involved but as the 5 he cleans up the glass and doing alright in the PnR

Curious how this all plays out because as others have said, what minutes are the person we trade for really going to get. Is this just nothing more than a lil flash from Jalen ?? or with JaVale on just a 1yr deal we might have DA's future backup already on the roster ?
