Justin Jackson is probably as solid a name as you'll find. Thought he'd be a solid 3/4 with his size and skills but couldn't stick with the Kings or Mavs. At least he's been an NBA rotation guy who has some legit playing experience in the NBA.
Yeah, his name is solid. The alliteration really contributes to that. Plus the two syllable first and last name. They are almost interchangeable.

Biyombo's a good vet to bring in at this point. Good size and length, can be a presence inside with about 10 years experience. Not expecting a big game changer, but at least he's someone we know can contribute at the 5 spot. Others on social have mentioned - Woj wouldn't be putting that last line in there about staying longer with the team if it weren't a distinct possibility. So we're either not expecting Frank or Dario back anytime soon and/or there may be a trade coming where we'll need the big man depth.

Interesting signing. I am not going to expect much, since he was just sitting around and 29 other teams didn't want him. But I would rather have him than some G-League guy who has no chance to stay on the roster.

Fun fact: Biyombo has never hit a single 3-pointer in his NBA career, if this page is accurate.

Biyombo can defend and rebound. He’s pretty useless offensively though

If this means I don’t ever have to see Brittany Griners stunt double out there on the court again I will be very happy

I mean seriously, what NBA skill does Terry have? He was absolutely awful in his last stint here and why we brought him back for more puzzles me.

Ish Wainwright is another player with zero talent other than impressive shoulders

I can’t comprehend why we sign this garbage on the roster instead of some guys that actually have some hint of skill. TyShon was an example of a raw, flawed player that had SOME skill that you could see developing.

With Omicron running rampant in all of sports (and the rest of the world), there isn't really a pick of the littler when it comes to 3rd tier talent. Most players worth anything were signed right away when the first teams started getting hit. One of the downsides to staying Covid free for as long as we did.

I disagree man. I think our other signings have clear abilities, even if they are not NBA level. Bismak is a good shot blocker and decent rebounder and defender. Paris and MJ seem to have some skills shooting the ball. Terry and Ish aren’t good at anything.

I am pretty underwhelmed by Ish…feels like he should probably be an NFL TE…just don’t see the nba skills. I do wonder why a guy like Chandler Hutchison doesn’t play over him. Hutchison has more nba talent…both make you wish for Nader back haha

I haven’t watched Terry so I won’t comment there.

Terry seems like a decent rebounder. And he hustles. Those are good things. Haven't seen much else from him yet.

I don't know. Jamal Crawford scoring 51 in the final game of the 2018-19 season was pretty surprising - he was 39 years old, averaged 7.9 points that season and his season high going in was 28.

Ya, can’t imagine many people older than Jamal have dropped 50. Maybe Karl or Kareem?

I do remember at the time that he became the first person to drop 50 with 4 teams I think?

He was essentially out of the league and came back as a favor to James Jones, wasn’t very good on the court all year, then dropped 50 in the final game. Pretty crazy. Was that the last game he’s played?

Edit: Looked it up, Jamal is the oldest to score 50. He’s the only 39 year old. Jordan did it at 38. Kobe and Alex English are the only other two to drop 50 at 35 or older.

Also he played one game for Brooklyn the next year, I forgot he joined them for the bubble.

I also remember Alex Peters, who had 46 points for the season, scoring 36 against Dallas in the final game of the 2017-18 season.

So weird things can happen in the final game of the year!

Ya that’s true…I’ll also point out that the Kobe 50 point game at 37 was actually a 60 point game and it was his final game when he took like 50 shots to get those 60 points. Another wacky final game.

That was a very Kobe way to end his career.

I wonder if we went Biyombo instead?

The Jackson signing was still being reported as of yesterday by AZCentrall but can't find anything else on it. Maybe they went Biyombo instead? Jae and DA should be close to clearing protocols but then would need a few days on practice I'm sure.
