Davis was better at forward though - sure, he wasn't much of a rebounder but his scoring there more than made up for it.

And then hurt his knee slipping on a wet floor in LA in '84.
And MacLeod started messing with his minutes after Davis' first two years with the Suns.
Still, Davis shot over 51% from the field in his career despite being a jump-shooting, perimeter-oriented player.
Will never forget the near perfect night against Seattle.
He went 15-15 from the field and 6-6 from the foul line ... and then missed his final shot.
Mac had problems with strong egos. MacLeod's insistence on playing so many of his bench players and limiting the starters irked Westphal to the point of demanding a trade. Which brought in DJ, who MacLeod insisted on getting rid of after three years.
