I’m really down on Payne this season guys. He past up an open midrange and drove into a wall. I worry he is now too predictable for playoff basketball.
Needs to find his shot again, develop a right hand finish, and keep working on the midrange stuff. He’s flashed a mid range pull up and a floater. Also his turnovers have jumped up this year.
His 6 million a year salary makes more sense now though. We’ll see if he can adjust to how defenses are playing him now.
Dude is shooting below 40% fg. In the playoffs, I’m not sure he’s our lead guard off the bench with 4 guys standing around. I’m not saying to trade him but I hope JJ is working the phones.
