DA finding it hard to play. Feels like he's been out the most of the year.

True, but with McGee, Smith and now Biyombo, the Suns have viable options.

Might give us a chance to showcase Smith before the deadline

I thought Mikal had a little trouble keeping Cade in front of him. Cade blew by him several times and also used his strength to go up through Mikal. It was interesting seeing such a great defender struggle to contain an offense-minded player with enough strength and quickness and savvy to make things hard for him.

Bummer for DA. With how this team is conservative I wouldn’t be surprised if he missed 5 games or so. That will probably cost him any shot he had at an All Star selection.

Payne’s been really good these last few games. Hopefully it continues.

Booker’s D was great in this game, not just on that one play. His midrange looked as good as it has in a long while.

I like Ish Wainright. If you toss out the poor shooting his first few games, his stroke has been much more reliable. He gives us a player type we’re otherwise missing.

Yeah, Wainright has impressed me the last couple outings. I hope he keeps it up. I read he had major nerves at the beginning. Hopefully, he's settled down and can help us out. I've been impressed with his touch around the basket.

I feel like he could give us a few credible minutes alongside Ayton against Milwaukee when they go big. Someone (unlike Cam, Crowder, Mikal and probably Stix) who Giannis wouldn't just truck on his way to the hoop.

I don’t mind Ish getting regular season minutes, but I think we’re in trouble if he’s playing in a finals game…Of course I’d take it though, because it means we’re back in the Finals!

I think it was visible the way he missed shots the first few games that it was nerves more so than his shooting ability.

You may be right, but I like the optionality. Even just 5 minutes a game to make some bigger opponents uncomfortable. Also, he’s not some 20 year old rookie. He’s older than most of our core.

He’s a smart player and doesn’t have those McGee moments… or those Craig moments to be honest. I’m looking forward to him being even more comfortable on the court. I am high on his defensive strength. Remember him grabbing the ball out of the hands of an offensive player during a drive to the basket and think he can do more of that — offer resistance in the paint and make the smart play.

I might be snakebitten from all the years we didn't have a legit, defensive big (much less 2 or 3), had to play small/play someone undersized and would get eaten up in the post and on the boards. I just love that we have 2 backups now that are veterans with size and have been two of the better defensive/rebounding/shotblocking bigs in the league. We shouldn't take that for granted and I am concerned about them being FAs (along with Stix seemingly out the door).

I think we'll be able to re-sign JaVale if we want to do so. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

I suspect we'll get Javale or Biyombo back and then maybe get Frank back on another 1 year deal. Just hate the thought of losing all 3 defensive bigs.

Watched the game later, and really liked what Wainright did on defense. He was the only one that gave Lyles trouble.

Mikal hasn’t been right for a few games. Hope he can get out of this funk soon.

He is still pulling/grabbing at that finger. I hope it doesn't linger.

He pulls on everybody's fingers though. Or vice versa. I'm not sure how that works.

I noticed a few games ago I think he hit it and seemed to wince and grab it, didn’t mention it because I tried to pretend it didn’t happen haha

Maybe he shouldn’t have said “Pull my finger”.

That never leads to good things…
