Anyone know what Smith did to get in the dog house? (or are we playing safe until trade deadline?)

I think just not being a power forward. In some ways, we really should trade him to a situation where he can get lots of time and maybe play his way to a bigger contract.

But with Ayton out, what did Smith do to lose the backup 5 minutes to Biyombo, when he had been ahead of him in the rotation?

I wondered why he didn’t play the 2nd half. I remember him falling on the wrist in the 1st half though.

Suns centers combined for 34 pts, 25 rebs, 5 blocks and 5 assists (latter all from Biyombo).

I’m not sure what you’re talking about tonight. The Pacers made it close. Who did he leave in too late? And when?

Biyombo is just obviously better. Smith didn’t do anything. Biyombo has just outplayed him.

I think Payne didn’t so much fall on his wrist as having taken a blow to it from Bitaze. There were several replays of Crowder’s fall, none showed what happened but I assume he fell on that wrist.

I don’t think it’s fair to say that Smith has not shown anything. Once Biyombo came to the team Smith was pushed to the backup 4 as Ayton and McGee came back, and Smith is not quite comfortable attacking off the dribble right now. Biyombo is also an agitating player. I noticed in one free throw sequence he kept putting his hand on Lamb’s shin and Lamb kept knocking his arm away. And I remember back when Biyombo played for Toronto reading that he’s the kind of guy you love to have on your team but hate on others. He brings a different kind of energy to the court than McGee and Smith and we can use that. In that sense he’s a bit similar to Payne.

Also think Biyombo is not nearly as useful to another team without all the guards looking to set up their centers in the lane like ours.

Who said that? I was answering a question. I said he didn’t do anything to get in the dog house. He played better than we expected. It’s just that Biyombo brings more to the table. You totally misread my statement if you’re talking about me.

I’ll tell you one thing, if Stephenson would have shot the ball every time down, we would have lost. I think he scored every time he attempted a shot. At least it felt like that.

Lance was pretty good around the rim and nobody could put up enough resistance to him. I kind of wish we had tried Wainright.
