The Hawks aren't dumb enough to be confused by double teaming Trae Young on every possession.
Ya not sure why we’re doing that…he’s killed us mostly in the pick and roll, with our small ball lineup in we can just switch everything. I’d rather take my chances with Trae isolating on his choice vs playing 4 on 3

Hawks played the Suns tough in Phoenix. Everyone from the Hawks that's hitting shots now, hit shots at Footprint Center months ago. I know Cam Payne is out, but still. Did Suns check the scouting report ?

That was an 8 second violation

Looked like Booker was diving for that ball while Huerter was just diving into Booker. Not that it really matters at this point.

Not sure leaving Ayton on the bench for the 4th was the right call.

Listening to the game on SiriusXM. Is Ayton's conditioning okay ?

Seemed like a few questionable calls in the final 2 minutes. Could have been an 8 second call, Bogdon travelled, and the dive for the ball could have been a foul on Huerter

He didn’t seem to have much energy tonight, I’d say no

What is Monty doing keeping our guys in to the bitter end? Throw in the towel.

The defense was lacking tonight, and the Hawks just shot the ball too well.

Would have been nice to have seen some of that energy and hustle during the first 46 minutes

Agree.
If anything, surprised Biyombo didn't see the floor.
He's quick enough to cover Collins or Capella.

Not going to win a lot of games when your opponent takes a ton of 3s and makes over half of them.

That's was my point. Hawks shot the ball well IN Phoenix. Suns should've been more tenacious.

Can’t wait for Trae Young to go 5-21 with 7 turnovers next game

Wasn’t really a factor. Guys seemed to be barking at him on defense multiple times tonight.

I didn't think the Suns slacked our played particularly poorly, just wasn't our night. Hawks were making everything. On to the next one.

Love aggressive Mikal. Scrimmage Bridges is back!

I agree with all of this. We played well, but the Hawks were just making every crazy shot. Sometimes it's just not your night.

I do think tonight was a rare example of poor coaching by Monty Williams and his staff. Our defense was unprepared for what the Hawks were doing.
We left guys like Bogdanovic and Huerter open for way too many 3s. We didn't seem to know what to do with our big men and took too long before trying to go small. We left all our starters in to the bitter end despite being down by double digits.

I really like Coach Williams but I thought he made some questionable decisions tonight. In particular he overly prioritized trying to maintain our winning streak at the expense of doing what's best for the team long-term.
