Game Day: Suns (41-10) @ Wizards (24-27), Sat 2/5/22

Post by Superbone »

Time: 5:00 pm AZ (4:00 pm PT/7:00 pm ET)
Place: Capital One Arena, Washington, DC
TV: BSAZ/NBALP

Time for a new winning streak. Beal is out but Suns' giant killer, Thomas Bryant will play. Here's our chance to get a good look at what Dinwiddie has remaining in the tank.

Good first quarter.
After a slow start, Suns hitting on all cylinders.
Washington has good parts, but lacks cohesiveness.
Window is open again ... blue skies ahead?

Suns have a tall lineup: Ayton, Stix, Johnson, Crowder, along with Paul.

Ayton with 13 and 11.
Had a Red Bull or two before the game, much more active than against Atlanta.

This might be the biggest team I’ve seen from the Suns ever.

Even going back to the Lang/Chambers/Perry days we didn’t put a 6’8 two guard and a 6’4 point on the floor.

The bench is, of course, looking terrible in the 4th.

Did you guys see that guy on Detroit get kicked in the face by his own teammate?! That's the first time I've seen that happen before in an NBA game.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

We are definitely correcting the defensive rating issues this game.

Now comes the timeout entertainment where the Wizards fans throw t-shirts back onto the court.
