Saw this. Wonder if he gets another shot…a lot probably depends on what kind of shape he’s in. He was a talented player…Lakers are pretty desperate haha

Carrying over from last weeks thread, but Jarrett Allen was the Harden replacement.

Had KD taken Harden, he’d have a real center on his team now. Guy just can’t catch a break.

Is that some Rudy Gobert shade? Haha. Jazz fans are a little ridiculous about Rudy, thinking he’s a top 10 guy, but he’s better than Allen.

They've had a little opponent luck, but they're also playing well with a bunch of random guys around Hart and Nurkic. Justise Winslow has had one of the strangest NBA careers and he's kind of a poor man's Draymond Green for them right now.

There's not a single team in the league who's flat out given up so far. Even the teams with poor records are decently well coached and playing good young guys. Houston and Detroit are the teams I trust the least right now.

You're right. He slipped my mind and he's been the biggest revelation for them. It'll be interesting to see what they do with him and Dame together since they seem to be sticking by keeping both.

Josh Giddey became the youngest player to record back-to-back triple doubles last night.
He had a career-high 28 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds as the Thunder beat the floundering Knicks in MSG.

Giddey was pretty incredible last night. His feel for the game and IQ is really crazy. Mann went off against the Knicks too, scoring in a bunch of different ways. The Thunder play hard and smart, even if the overall roster talent/depth doesn't allow them to keep up. The Knicks are just a mess. Bad mix of vets and young guys, no chemistry, no identity, Randle's regressed, Thibs seems lost.

I think this speaks very well to the effect the play-in tournament and flatter lottery odds are having on the league. Lots of teams are within a stone's throw of being in 10th place, so they don't give up and start tanking. Instead of a last 2-3 months of the season with a dozen teams openly giving up, we have maybe a last week or so where a handful of teams throw in the towel. Much better. The level of competition and overall effort out of the franchises is great. And I think flattening the lottery is the right thing to do, to help teams that need help without making it too tempting to tank.

Doesn't a single home playoff game bring in 5-8M of revenue? And do playoff teams get a different share of TV revenue that non-playoff teams?

I think you're right. And there are a lot of incentives for teams to be able to tell their fanbase, "This is a playoff team." Even if they only qualify for the play-in, they still look a lot more competitive than if they miss it entirely. I suspect they would rather tell that story to season ticket holders when it's time for renewal.

Bemby to the Bucks could be a big pickup.

Bembry is a smart pickup by the Bucks. I still don't understand why Brooklyn let him go.
