Game Day: Rockets (15-41) @ Suns (47-10), Wednesday 2/16/22

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: BSAZ/NBALP

Last one before the All-Star Break so let's not look past the Rockets. Houston got blown out 135-101 on Monday to the Jazz so they'll probably look to avoid getting blown out again if they can help it. Wood started at center for the Rox with Şengün off the bench so if they keep that lineup in place we should see a heavy dose of DA early. We had a tough game last night against the Clips, it'd be nice to make early work of the young Rockets and get Paul and Book a little extra rest.

Rockets are a dangerous team. Don't play with fire. Let's end this game before the 4th so we can see some extended burn for guys like Holiday. Love his tenacity.

I disagree, the Rockets suck. They're only dangerous for teams who don't know how to focus. I think it's more likely their roster is checked out mentally with their minds on Cancun.

It seems crazy that Aaron Holiday is 30 days older than Devin Booker.

I don’t like these refs waiting to see the result of the play before blowing the whistle…happened 3 times already

Giving up too many easy baskets to Houston…looking like a game where we coast and put them away late unfortunately…although I guess that’s our way of resting haha

Was just gonna say we need to make sure we don’t let Green get going and then he picks up his 3rd foul…

I think this game has two outcomes:

1) It will be a close game until midway through the second when they beat the breaks off them, only for them to come back in the 2nd half because we got lazy and then beat the breaks off them in the final minutes.

2) Close game until the middle of the 3rd when they torch them and go up 20+, only for them to come back and make it annoying at the end, where the Suns beat the breaks off them in the final minutes.

Suns win either way.

A lot of legs looking heavy but Holiday and Craig brought some energy with the 2nd unit. Suns going smaller to try and match the speed with Craig at the 5. Rockets just look quicker right now.

Houston looks a step-and-a-half faster.
Nothing falling for the Suns.

Holiday getting minutes at point. Maybe we've seen the last of Elf.

This is all your fault.

Booker 4/12 FG, 9 pts, 1 reb, 0 ast

And the biggest problem is the Suns letting Houston score 67 points in the first half.

The effort and hustle for Houston have just been better than ours. The rebounding total from the first half reflects that. Suns look a bit gassed from the back-to-back.

I couldn't have told you a single thing about Tate before tonight, but here he has 16 and 7 at halftime.

Lot of fouls, as others have mentioned. I am paying more attention to the bench; Holiday has 4 points and 4 assists, which is great to see. Craig has 4 points but his 3-point shooting hasn't looked very good since he arrived back here. Booker's shot hasn't been very reliable so far, shooting only 4-for-12. CP3 already has 11 points and 5 assists; Mr. Consistency.
