I am pretty sure he missed the season due to multiple stress fractures in his foot.Superbone wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 11:08 amThe TJ Warren story is so weird. It can't all be physical. A lot of it has got to be mental. The guy is extremely talented offensively but I've never heard of anybody having so many head injuries before. If it's not one thing, it's another. He's got to be near the top of highest paid guy per game NOT played. James Jones obviously just wanted to be done with him.

I don't get it. You can't dive for the ball?

I was talking up the Bulls in the first half of the season as I've liked their roster since last season
Lonzo and Caruso really hurt them or people calling them frauds is fact ?

As much as I dislike Westbrook, it was plain dirty how Beverley dove into Westbrook's legs a few years ago and legit injured him. Then he comes back and Beverley dives into his legs AGAIN, though thankfully no injury this time. And now he's clowning around in Westbrook's face this season on the Wolves. If I'm Westbrook I want no part of this guy and want him to stay the hell away from my lower extremities. That isn't basketball.

There was nothing wrong with what Smart did. He did exactly what you hope your players do--get on the floor. It isn't even like he took a wide path or anything to clear out. He dove directly towards the ball and grabbed it.

Kerr just doesn't want his gravy train to go away.

Honestly could push GS down into the 4/5 game…Dallas and Utah are both 3 games behind.

Jones and Vogel gotta go.
Re: Around the League: Week 22 (3/14 - 3/20)
That TJ Warren trade is just sad times for all involved. We gave up Warren AND the 32nd pick in the 2019 draft just for some cash to be rid of the guy. There were a few nice players taken in the 2nd round that year, like Terance Mann, Talen Horton-Tucker, and Bol Bol, but most of the rest of the names are duds. We signed TJ to a 4 year / $47,000,000 contract that began in the 2018-19 season. So Indy has been stuck with all but 1 year of that deal.

I don't know who you'd say "won" the deal overall. I think the Suns are happy with it if you consider that the cap space helped us pursue other players to improve our team. But giving away a player and a pick for basically nothing is hard to stomach. Indy loved TJ for the first year they had him, where he was mostly healthy. But then the past 2 years he's been out almost entirely. Seems like his career is really stalled out and his best years may be behind him.

Honestly makes me feel better about it. JJ really wanted to be the man and have a role that he couldn't have with Nash/Amare/Matrix. I had read that at the time but now the man himself verifies it.Come summer, I was a restricted free agent — and I’ll put it this way: I don’t think anyone was surprised that I wanted a bigger role. With Shawn, Amar’e and Steve, they was all gonna be All-Stars for a while. That was understood. So if I was gonna take the next step as a player, I knew I needed to find a place where I could have those types of expectations.
Atlanta made an offer, and let it be known they wanted me to be that guy. I asked Phoenix not to match. Sarver wasn’t about to let me walk for nothing, though, so they worked out a sign-and-trade.
Was it tough leaving? Yeah, man, it was. But I believed in my abilities. And I wanted to play for an organization that believed in me the same amount.
